My son came in on me and he looked at my painted toe nails and said "nice toes Dad" and never mentioned it again. Nothing has changed in our relationship and I feel it is a mute issue between us. My advice, is your son is a grown man now and he has already dealt with it in his mind and he is good with it. Keep it to yourself unless he brings it up.
