    Year end outing

Every so often I get a dressing idea that stays with me. This one involved putting together an outfit to go with an animal print top I recently purchased. The outfit idea required a pair of knee high boots and a (faux) leather skirt. The idea materialized into a pretty good day out the day before New Year's eve.

In view of the weather, I wore leggings, over a pair of tights my wife no longer needed (a story for another day), a coordinating top and ankle boots. The first stop was the nail salon -- a place I had not been since October 2019. The male tech --I always seem to get the male tech lately --did not bat an I and I chatted briefly with another customer at the dryer about how the year could not end soon enough.

I then went to a mall where I knew I could find a pair of boots in my size. Success, but no skirt. A trip to another nearby mall netted nice sweater dress and some new earrings but no skirt. That'll have to done online where no one is looking at your outfit.

In between, I spent about a half hour in a coffee bar for a quiet experience fully on display.

Not a bad day. Happy new year to all

Sounds like a nice girl day. Mani or pedi?
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

Glad you had fun.... but sounds like a crazy thing to do given the current pandemic. Even with a mask you can?t social distance an a nail salon. And with the newest variant of the virus.... doesn?t seem worth it to me..... Hope you stay safe and well.

My wife and I still get our nails done. Her favorite nail tech went out on her own and has a one person shop. We wear our masks and she wears a mask.

All those adventures and not one photo, Melissa!?

One pic is worth 1,000 words!
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

Mani. In my neck of the woods, the salons are only supposed to see people by appointment, a rule which I suspect goes out the window when the shop is slow. I actually called to make an appointment using my best girl voice -- mildly nerve-wracking as I never made an appointment with that voice before. Of course when I got there they didn't ask about an appointment.

For those concerned about safety, the manager took my temperature and gave me hand sanitizer before letting me in the store (Never understood why they didn't make you wash your hands before a service in the non-pandemic times.) There were plastic barriers everywhere and only the hand the tech was working on went through the opening. Masks were required. They also sprayed the soles of my boots with disinfectant which I thought was odd. All in all reasonably safe but I think it'll be the last one for a while.

As for pictures, one day soon.

Any day you can get out dressed as your feminine self is a good day.
Your day sound like you had a wonderful experience.
Being out, I have found the general public to be aggravated at those who lollygag around taking photos.
So, I haven't been clicking away either.
Maybe before you go, if you can...take a poise!
Would love to see a pretty you!
    Thanks for sharing your day!
