    Did you ever forget

I was feeling some stomach pains the last few days, I came home from work yesterday and my wife seen me struggling alittle and asked me why men are so stubborn to go to a doctor. I was getting alittle worried and I called my doctor, but the earliest appointment was Tuesday and he suggested if I'm in a lot of pain to go to the hospital or a walk in clinic. Feeling it wasn't an emergency I called the clinic close to home, with the Covid I had to leave my name and the doctor calls you back and does a virtual examination. He called me back and I told him what I felt and he suggested I go in because he wanted to do a closer examination, but he asked where I live because they were closing soon. I told him I'm literally down the street and I could be there in 5 minutes and he was kind enough to wait. I rushed over and the nurse unlocked the door and brought me straight into the examination room and before I had a chance to sit the doctor walked in. He was a older middle eastern man and before I had a chance to talk he asked me exactly where the pain was, I point to my lower stomach and he asked me to pull my jeans down to my knees. He turned around and was putting on his gloves and I reach for my belt and I remembered, OMG Im wearing fem panties. With nowhere to run and now the doctor turned back around and is wondering why my pants aren't down, I closed my eyes half way and pull down my pants and looked to see the doctors reaction. I couldn't believe that he didn't flinch, he started feeling my stomach and I looked down at the view of the pink panties with the black pokadots and the black elastic with Victoria Secrets in white sparkly letters. I'm shaking my head and almost laughing at myself in disbelief of how I forgot to change them. I guess I'm so used to wearing fem panties it's become normal. He finished and asked me if I did any heavy lifting lately because it feels like a Hernia.
I was kind of relieved because as we get older we seem more prone to anything and I believe I could cope with this. I was surprised he didn't flinch or any surprised look at all when I pulled my pants down. I believe now my wife has a Hernia because she was laughing so hard when I told her what happened. I guess that's the fun of living life a closet crossdresser.

    Maria,

I never forgot because I do not underdress for the most part. On the other hand I have worn women?s undies on purpose in the past and like others have said in the past, doctors really do not care.

Even so I am not so sure I would be relieved to have a hernia as that can be pretty serious. Did they refer you to a specialist like a general surgeon? I assume that is who follow up would be with.

I don’t have any male underwear. I keep a set of unworn plain white panties for my doctor's visits. No problem.

I think it's more telling that u felt the need to mention the doc was Middle Eastern than him mentioning your panties. Which apparently he didn't?
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

I too have a slight hernia and I would be re-missed if I didn't suggest high waist panty shapers to contain and support your hernia.
They help me feel comfy and supported, my Rago OBG also helps if I want to wear my fav panties.
I am sure you don't need an excuse but now you have an excuse to wear panty shapers or a OBG everyday!

Doctors and nurses have seen it all. Last time I went to have a mole on my fore arm looked at for skin cancer, The female doctor looked at it and said "Ok let's have a look at the rest of your body". Had just shaved everything! She didn't say a thing just went about her job.

    Maria,
This something I'm now use to like anyone that goes out fulltime . OK I didn't have to strip to my underwear but the building being used for the Covid injection was full ( still staying within the permitted guidelines ) . If I'm donating blood I wear a short sleeved Tshirt or blouse so on this occasion I removed my jackey and cardigan to reveal a short sleeved blouse , some people looked because it was a pretty blue Cotton Traders blouse with a bright floral design .

No matter where your hernia is it will probably have to be repaired , it can't be ingored for too long but it's a fairly quick operation , I had my lower one done under a local anasthetic .

Thanks for asking about my condition. He had asked me if he wanted to take further action with him or if I had my own family doctor I should follow up and use his specialists. I agreed and will be going to my doctor next week for my next move. I have a co-worker who wears a strap thing to hold his hernia in, I will find out more on Tuesday, wearing men's underwear or a silk boxer style. No pink Victoria Secrets

The perils of underdressing. Just think if you had a hernia at work and had to go immediately to an onsite company health clinic. Be sure you have the hernia looked at and taken care of.

Your wife is right about men delaying medical care until it's too late. My father did not heed my mother's concern about his unusual weight loss. Had a pain in his kidney are. Surgery immediate. Died in less than ten months. Get that annual physical; blood and urine workup and all that. Also, women can be rather dense too. My wife detected a lump in her breast. Had an appointment the next day. Mammogram within the week. Etc. Her surgeon was surprised at little length of time between discovery and time. The surgeon told her it is not unusual to have women discover a lump and let it go for years until it's too late.

Hernia, you don't want boxers. Some support is better than no support until you get better medical advice.

I had a precautionary ECG a couple of years ago. Nothing wrong. The nurse commented how convenient it was that my chest was shaved 😀

Had a pre-operation physical several years ago. As the doctor entered he asked me to also remove my shoes and socks, OMG I had my nails done the day before (a nice red ) ! The Doctor did not bat a eye and completed the physical without a comment. Glad I had the pedicure and fresh nails !

Medical professionals don't care and it would be unprofessional to mention it in any way that was derogatory.

2 years ago, after turning 50, i decided life was too short not to be true to myself and started wearing the underwear I prefer and is true to my identity.

I wear many pretty, feminine designs and styles so there’s no question I’m underdressed. However, if I’m going to the dr. I do try to avoid the lace back, thongs, etc and stick with a hipster or high leg.

I’ve never had an issue with any medical professionals. And really, what is the stigma all about. If it’s comfortable to me, why does it matter to anyone else. Underwear I think not!

I feel womens panties on men are the last thing they are worried about.

They just want to make you well and get on their way.

I went to the emergency room once wearing yellow panties, but normally I wear men's underpants for doctor's visits and such.

After a near life ending fall, I have given up wearing men's underwear. I was wearing a boyish looking panty at the time and had my toes painted, the doctors, nurses and everyone saw everything there was to see of me that day and acted professional and saved my life. That was followed up a year later with a knee injury that required surgery, I again went in with my toes painted and wearing panties, now had my finger nails done too and shaved legs. Again everyone was cool and did their jobs.

Since I started getting my nails done, I've only gone a week or two without nail polish on them, and 99.99% of the people I run into, it's not something they seem to care about. Maybe times have changed. At least in South Texas.

I've wore panties to Dr. appointments for years and like others have said the Drs and Nurses see this all the time. When I had knee surgery they had me wear only a hospital gown that ties in the back and said no undies. After recovering and when I returned to my room I slipped on some panties which was tricky to do over all the bandages and wraps. A little later a nurse came in to help me to my feet to walk a little bit my gown didn't cover well and my lacy panties were clearly visible. She straightened my gown and said something about the gowns don't stay closed very well and wouldn't want my pretty panties to show and gave me a knowing smile. My knee was killing me but I appreciated her understanding and just smiled back.
