No, because women my age tend not to wear dresses.

I went out today and wore the strappy backless dress I wore I bought at Windsor, which caters to much younger women. Yesterday I went to Pride and wore a crop top and overall shorts, and a woman bartender said she loved my outfit.

I tend to wear what I want to wear regardless of age, because I wasn’t dressing when I was younger, so I have to make up for lost time.

I don't know if I would say I dress like a woman my age or like a woman in her 30's. I find myself looking for outfits that I think would look nice on a woman of any age.

All of my clothes are younger than my age. Probably clothing for someone in their 20s.

Being in my 20s, I'd say I dress about my age. Although I'm still expanding my wardrobe, but it would fit in pretty well with what girls my age wear.

This is one of the aspects of crossdressing that I love. It’s all about theater, make up and imagination. I enjoy the fact that I’m an older dude in real life but on the weekends I can completely be someone else. Like a younger sexy Lolita perhaps!

Over the decades, I feel I've done a pretty good job with this.

Maybe because I've done it for so long & so often, that it's simply second nature?

What helps, of course, is that I'm reasonably fit... And also that I look younger than I am, as a guy.

Then when I slap on some make-up & a wig? Even younger than that!

In which case? I feel like I can go up to about 15 years younger, should I choose -- and still be able to pull it off.

Though I also recognize the fact that I'm not getting any younger. Do I really want to be one of those who are still desperately trying to cling onto their youth? Grow old gracefully, people!

Besides, one can still dress their age & be quite stylish.

It really is an odd question, on some level -- even as it pertains to GG's, for that matter.

I mean, what might look appropriate on one, say, 50-year-old... Might be the total opposite on another.

Anyway, what's more important, is that can you make it work?

Dressing for your age is one thing. But what about for your body type? Your personality? The occasion/setting/environment?

I feel the bottom line is, if you can pull it off & look well-put-together, then that can really help with both the "passability" -- as well as the social acceptance.

I guess it depends on the woman really lol, there are some very sexy woman in their 50s, 60s, 70's that dress younger. In general when i dress I like tight fitting short dresses or skirts and thigh high stockings are an absolute must.

I try to find clothes that are appropriate to my age but I love wearing short skirts and dresses that allow me to expose my legs.

Having recently crossed the threshold of now being in my 70s, I certainly strive to NOT dress my age. What I enjoy is dressing as mature classy lady of 10 to 15 years younger which more matches my activity level and attitude towards life. Besides, what classy mature woman are wearing today is more to my taste.

I do not dress my age, mainly because of where I go. If I was out and about during the day at the grocery store, etc., then I would tend to dress closer to my age.

As it is, I mostly go to a casino with my BF these days. I usually wear denim skirts, casual tops and flats/sandals. I some time tone down the shorter skirts with leggings or tights. I usually don't get any second looks (unless the high beams are on) and get "ma'am"d a lot.

I've got some cute sugar skull tights that I'll wear in honor of Halloween when we hit the casino later this month.

I've seen taller (and heavier) GGs there that don't look as good in a skirt as I do.

I tend to dress my age and current styles. My GG friends are very complimentary.

This is a new out fit that I recently put together in an effort to dress my age.

Since I rarely leave the house en femme, I can't say that I pay much attention to age appropriateness. The bigger issue is that a lot of those more youthful styles, like really short dresses, don't scale up to my tall frame very well regardless of size. The midi that becomes a mini is not a good look.

I guess I dress my age, for an older woman, that was going out to a fancy dinner.
I prefer the longer dresses in the winter, and more knee length in the summer.

So for a 62 year old woman, I guess I am just about inline with that.
I certainly have the grey hair to go with it.
my sister's reply when I told her how I prefer to dress

"Everyone has there thing, all that matters is that you are happy, love what you do and who you do it with"

Mostly, no. I wear mostly dresses, but they range from the early 20's, to the 60's. I don't go out that much, but when I do, I dress for me. I'm not trying to impress anyone.

My male self is 68 but Danielle is in her 40's and attempts a "Housewives of wherever" look. I kind of consider crossdressing is like dog years... a crossdressing year is worth 2 male years.

Me, I dress like a woman of my age, bearing in mind women have clothing freedom to wear what they want. I find that if I dress like this, and also appropriately to wherever I am and what I doing, then I'm able to blend and pass as people see what they expect and so don't have that second glance. If you want people to look and stare and there's nothing wrong with that, then don't be surprised when they do. Like everything, it's horses for courses.
