    The Media me and dressing

I would guess it is close to three years since I began to be "Bobbi" 24/7 and many highs and lows since then, lost friends because of my dressing but also many humourous times as well. All have given me fond memories for years to come.
Due to our lockdowns we lost one or two businesses along the way mainly my favouriet brasserie where I went dressed, after it closed, soon after exactly opposite a specialist tea and coffe shop opened serving tea and coffeee. It became my "go to" place and as you might guess with my outgoing way to life I have become good friends with Isabelle and Emilie.
Today was the highlight of getting to know them and after a bit of "lost in translation" I found out that through them a reporter for our local paper wants to write an article about my life here. I am considering going ahead with meeting the reporter because I see this as the greatest chance possible to further our "cause" to try and educate the muggles that we are not a "bunch of weirdo's" but very genuine people each on different paths in our lives but all of, us linked together. I want to try and hopefully dispel some of the stigma and bigotry that gets pushed towards us.
I have as yet to meet the reporter but I am looking forward to this opportunity.

That is a noble idea, Bobbi. Just make sure the reporter writes for a legitimate local paper and is not fishing for dirt for a pulp magazine. Bonne chance,

Ineke, it is all genuine, the newspapers office is only a few doors along the road from the coffee shop, it is a well reputed paper so i have no worries in that direction.

And of course it would help if you could translate the article.

I think that's GREAT Bobbi, being a ambassador for the community in your area is a noble cause for anyone recruited by their local newspaper.
Hope you can think on your feet, soft spoken with courage and grace, be coy and kind, and noble with a bit of glamour.
I am sure you will do great at showing your feminine side and conveying that we are not a bunch of perverted, psychopaths hell bent on....whatever!
So I have to ask, "What are you going to wear for the interview?!?!?!"

    Bobbi,

I guess the reporter will be looking at both your experiences as someone living full time as Trans but also as an immigrant and how you've assimilated into French cultural life. I also guess they'll be interested in any differences you've found in how you're treated there against being Trans in the UK.

Wouldn't surprise me either if the B word (Helen whispers Brexit under her breath), and any impact that has had. Sorry I should know this, have you taken out Frence citizenship or residency as of course that will effect you greatly.

I think you're right to agree to the interview. As you say you can hopefully dispel a few myths and paint a truer picture of our community.

One thing to consider; you are sticking your head above the parapet so to speak. It will most likely raise your visibility and both good and bad can come from this so be aware of how you deal with those.

Congrats Bobbi for owning it like this. Maybe you could bring a friend to the interview to cheer you up. If you need help later for translating the article let me know in PM.

Be careful, Bobbi! In my interviews with reporters as Sherry? Only one let me say what I wanted to, freely. The others asked a lot of fishing questions hoping to find something juicy that mite entice their readers!

Bobbi, Good luck with the interview and since I know you pretty good I am sure it will be an interesting read. No doubt your British humor will show up at some point.
    I cannot wait!
