    Burns Night

    Hi everyone,
Today, 25th January, is Burns night in Scotland, when we celebrate the poems, songs and life of our national bard, Robbie Burns. We eat Haggis, sing, recite poems, maybe a wee dram! and of course, a great excuse to wear a kilt!!!
To quote (or misquote!) one of his most famous works, which considers peace among all humans,

" For all that, and all that,
It's coming yet for all that,
That man to man the world over,
Shall sisters be for all that"!

I'm sure Robbie wouldn't mind the slight edit.

    Slainte.

As a fellow Scotswoman (well, half-Scottish), I return your toast.

This is certainly a good reason to break out a kilt. For photos if for no other reason on this cold winter's day.
So many new things to learn

Philippa, your post gives new meaning to the phrase, "Getting Burned!"
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

Cheers for Robbie Burns, I have no desire to wear a kilt, too heavy and the one time I did I was practicing the sword dance.
    Much easier in lightweight trousers.
Yep, I do like Haggis and will eat lots of it when I visit Scotland.

What did they say they put in a good Haggis? :-)
    Work on your elegance,
    and beauty will follow.
