    Ode to my wife

We decided to go through our clothes today to see what does/ doesn?t fit, what looks good vs meh, and what?s worn out. She did this not too long ago, as did I with my male clothes. I proceeded to try on nearly everything I have , so bra, panties and forms on, a lot of changing and getting to know what works with particular skirts , shorts , and pants. She sat through most of it, giving her honest opinion and in the end I only decided to get rid of about 5 things. It was that good old ? it?s looks great on an actual woman, but only if I was blind would they work on me. Don?t get me wrong, everything felt nice and soft , just no good otherwise.
When I first came out as CD to her in 2011 , I thought it would break us. She?s been a trooper and says it?s brought us closer. The acceptance of browsing online, shopping together , and sincerely complimenting each other on outfits without hurt feelings is truly a feeling I hope for all that want it.

Hi Jocelyn, you are very lucky to have such an understanding wife, there are many out there
who do not. I did the same a couple of weeks ago and got rid of things that no longer fit or are out of style
I donated mine to a homeless shelter for women

I can't think of a better gift to a CD than to have a spouse who understands, or at least tries to understand. You are a lucky person, Joss.

This alone is huge, having this kind of acceptance is truly a relief from the anxiety that our activity can bring. Continued best wishes to you both, and as you say hope for those that want it.

Jocelyn, you are truly blessed. I believe your wife's level of acceptance is the end game (or at least close to it) for all of us.

Good for you Joss . I wish I could get just a small portion of that acceptance. But not even in my wildest tangerine dreams unfortunately.

I did show my wife this post and she pretty much just melted. I said many in the same situation are in hiding or in a DADT and have been threatened with divorce or outing. To be fair, she had asked for a divorce in the beginning , on the advice of a ?friend?. We worked through it and are better for it. I?d like to believe there is hope for everyone.

When I told my wife and instead of her freaking out she decided to give it chance and see where I was going with it. After about a year I was dressed in front of her and I apologized how embarrassed I was and that she had to see her husband dressed like that and live with this curse with me and didn't blame her if she wanted out. She gave me a "are you kidding" all her friends and coworkers are complaining that there husbands spend no time with them or out golfing and watching sports all the time. They can't get over how we do so much together and its because of the dressing. We are husband and wife and I'm her girlfriend to ask about fashion advice or even model how things look on another person. She told me she was happy to share this secret that I only trusted her with and she was ready to start a family with me and live the rest of our lives not with this curse but with the blessing I was given. I dont think I ever cried that much in my life and that was all the therapy I needed.
It wasn't always the smoothest road but we seemed to make it work. It's great to read a positive story, you made me smile knowing there's always a chance. Thanks for sharing
