    Another week in paradise

I posted about my experience in November when my wife left town for a week and I tried to make it a full week en femme. She went for another trip to visit her parents the middle of the week two weeks ago and returned last Tuesday. This time I managed to spend most of every day and night dressed as Nancy, working at my job from home during the day and going out for errands in the evenings as needed. I went out to dinner one night, buying a new bra -- and returned it in person the next day because it didn't fit. This was something of a big step for me, because I am normally somewhat on edge when I have to return non-feminine merchandise in drab, and I haven't mastered the art of the female voice yet. All went well, though.

The climax of the week was going to see a play on Sunday. I went to a matinee, so I was out on the street in full sunlight, and because it was a long play, I had to wait in line with the other women in the restroom. I took the lead of the woman ahead of me and looked at my phone.

The biggest mistake I made was while grocery shopping. I felt I did a fine job of walking around the grocery store picking out food, and then, at the self-checkout, I loaded all of it into one of my reusable bags instead of both of them. Most women would spread the load.

All in all, though, it was a very satisfactory week.

Sounds awesome. Where I live, I don't know that I could ever leave my house en femme without tipping my neighbors off to the existence of Heather. If my wife will ever be gone for 4 or 5 days, I believe I would leave town, go about 50 miles away, get a makeover, and spend 2 days totally letting Heather enjoy her time in the sun. You are so lucky to be able to enjoy time out.
It's never too late to enjoy a happy childhood.
Live each day as though it's your last 'cause one day you'll be right.
I'm finding the more feminine side of me...and I ❤️ this adventure.

Well, Nancy, sounds like you had a really cool week. You have obviously settled into the "in woman mode" very smoothly.

Voice is a really difficult one to master by yourself. My sense is that speaking in a female voice is not as important today as it was in the past, but I suppose it depends on what your male voice is like. If it is really deep then perhaps visiting a voice specialist for some lessons would be a good idea so you can learn how to do it without it sounding forced and fake. There is more to female speech patterns than just the tonality. Most women say things differently than a man would say the same thing.

Nancy, it's it wonderful to have the luxury of time? Not rushed, no interruptions. My wife would visit our daughter in Chicago or visit her cousin in Phoenix. As a retiree I had no obligations at all. Total free time. My wife would be gone seven to ten days. For me, it was up to 24/7 hours. Morning to night to morning, fully en femme. Interacting with other humans is out of my comfort zone. My wife made those trips in the fall or late winter to avoid the cold of Chicago and the heat of Arizona. Those seasons afforded me the opportunity to take leisurely strolls in my favorite residential neighborhood. If I was lucky, the otherwise annoying light rain of the Pacific Northwest gave me the opportunity to use an umbrella which allowed me to obscure my very male face and to some extent obscure my six foot height. I wear only dresses, so it was dresses and heels all the time. Now, with my daughter living nearby and my wife's cousin living in a care facility due to falling mental abilities, and, my wife fully retired, those are now cherished memories. If Covid actually lessens its grip on socializing, I may see my wife babysitting overnight.

If any get the opportunity, grab a hold of it.

My heavens, Nancy, but you're awesome. However -- at least for me -- it sounds like you had an amazing week, not a satisfactory one.

Also.. I love your mention of the "little things" that come to mind, such as reusable bag usage. It speaks volumes that you even thought of that and tells me that you, at least for a time, were en femme on the inside as well as the outside.

Trina, the thing that made it easier for me to go grocery shopping is that I went to a store well out of my neighborhood, so I wouldn't bump into someone I knew. My plan, should I ever run into someone I know, is to show no recognition. People see what and who they expect to see.

Nancy, Sounds like a great week. I'd give my eye teeth for a week alone as Jamie.
