So, I've been a member of this wonderful group for a few years now and I have to say that it's refreshing to see the diversity of opinions and experiences reflected on here. We all have so much to learn from and offer each. Each of our lives and our lifetimes, can be so different. From newbies to women who are living full time, it's just great to be along for the ride. Thank you all.

I have a long way to go before I can make sense of my own journey. In the meantime, I continue to enjoy my occasional adventures in the real world. The opportunity to be Monica in a conventional social setting is just too irresistible to me, even when it means taking pink fog-fueled risks. Life is too short!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather with some seaside dining, strolling, and shopping in very good company, sporting a light, fitted a-line dress and strappy heels. It got a bit warm under the shapewear and breastplate, but I looked great so it was definitely worth the effort. My gentleman friend was very impressed, at least, and made it quite clear. Felt like ages since I had been out in broad daylight and enjoying fancy spots. Felt good to be alive.

Wonderful, I could almost hear the waves breaking and feel the breeze!
As many as 43 percent of all people with gender dysphoria attempt suicide in their lives. dont let yourself become part of that very tragic statistic.

    Monica,

I know what you mean. Being in the same space as "ordinary" folk, doing the same things, being just you the person is such a draw. Yes it's great to go out to LGBTQ friendly venues and to share experiences but it can't compare to doing the everyday things everyone else does, being part of the real world. And of course being treated just the same as the "Ordinary" folk. What's not to like?

    Monica,

Ah yes I totally understand that urge to go out socially. It seems a large percentage of your outings are of the fine wine and dine variety which is pretty cool. I need to do some more of that myself.

Keep the outing stories coming as I love to read everyone?s experiences as well.

Helen, exactly! It's one thing to have a great time at a LGBT spot, be the center of attention among people who put us in the "other" category, or to go out with someone "under cover of darkness" and an entirely different thing to experience the vanilla world (even if only briefly) as any average cis woman would. I've done some pretty wild, bold, and extreme things in my time but nothing is as satisfying as simply being in a random, vanilla social setting where I am able to experience being just another random woman having a nice time.

    I agree 100%.
Being able to fit into the vanilla world was a dream I had for years.
Now being 24/7 and actually living as an everyday "random" woman life is so much better.
Having a male friend to accompany you makes it even better.
