    An unexpected invation

    I was in a local comic shop shooting the breeze I told them about Superman celebration. I showed them pictures of my Supergirl and Wonder Woman. I was complemented on them them the owner spoke up. She told me about an event they are hosting for free comic book day. They was having free comics and a costume contest etc she asked me to come dressed as Wonder Woman. To meet and take pics with the attendees and enter the costume contest. She told me the coffee shop next door is all inclusive and love Wonder woman so they will want to see me. This will happen on may 2nd.

    On Free Comic Book Day in 2018 and 2019, at a big store in Maryland, I saw one of our sisters attend as Poison Ivy one year and, as I recall, Supergirl the other.
    I made a Cinderella costume 3 months ago for a Disney-themed party I attended. I am planning on wearing it to that store this year.

    FWIW Free Comic Book Day has been going on for 20 or so years now. Always the first Saturday in May.
    If only our families and friends could be as supportive as our bras!

    Good for you and enjoy yourself...
    Escapism isn't necessarily bad, but is definitely unhealthy in the long term. While helpful in the short term, things will degrade over time. At some point, the escapee will have to face the issue. Things simply blowing over isn't really going to happen in many situations.

    Have a great time. One question: To dress as Wonder Woman will you wear a Wonder Woman costume or just dress totally en femme thereby proving you are your own wonder woman (notice no capitals)? Of course I know the answer. Have a great time.

    Those are great events to have fun and be seen. In the early days I used every excuse I could find to go out dressed up.
