Decided to head out.

A couple of weeks ago I decided since the wife and kids were headed out of town, I would go head and dress up. I recently ordered and received some 4 inch heels and had been wearing them here and there in the house to get a feel for walking in them. Still need some work there...
Anyway, wife headed out of town and I had the house to myself. What better way than to slip on some thigh highs, panties, garter belt, bra, and a fit and flair dress with the new heels. Just sitting on the couch watching tv wearing everything I mentioned and a thought crossed my mind. Whats the harm in heading out and maybe stopping at a gas station and throwing some gas in the truck. Yeah that sounds like a great idea, so I grabbed my wig and a face cover (facial hair) and headed out.

I'm 6'2", so the dress is a bit short in length on me and it shows the top of the lace thigh highs. So I had to work around that since I don't want to show to much. Remember that this is the first time I have even remotely thought about going out in public in anything other than wearing panties under my jeans, so this is a very large leap forward. Sitting in my truck in a large parking lot not even close to a gas station, mouth dry, asking myself if I wanted to do this. Decided that its now or never and open the door so I can get out of the truck and put my heels on before I head to the gas station. I get one heel on and just as I get to the other a truck drives right past me in the parking lot without even so much as slowing down or looking. Oh this is going better than I thought. This is all happening at around 10pm on a Friday.

Get back in the truck and head over to the gas station where I proceed to sit in the truck again in front of a pump trying to get enough courage to get out and stand under a fully lit gas station directly next to a very busy road. All over again I had to talk myself into it and slid out till the heels hit the pavement.

Absolutely exhilarating and on level 10 as I stand there in this lavender dress that barely cover's my thigh highs in 4 inch pumps getting gas, for anyone that decided to drive down that road or pull in the gas station to see. Plenty did see but not a single care was given.

I know, getting gas is such a extremely huge thing. lol. But what a wild night.

Absolutely a daring adventure. I'm surprised you did not receive some hoots and hollers and horn honking. I haven't pumped gasoline, but I've taken long strolls in the early evening in heels and a dress. It is exhilarating but heels can be a foot killer walking long distances on concrete sidewalks. I switched to a wedge with a two inch rise for stability and less pain. I love the cool air playing with the skirt of the dress and slip.

I think the first time I stepped on pavement in heels outside in public is what did it. Excitement went through the roof. Its funny, once you make that decision and you hear the click of the heel on the pavement, there's no turning back.

First time ever in heels, and I buy the 4 inch like they are regular gym shoes. They definitely take some getting used to. I did find out its easier to walk in them without pantyhose or thigh highs on.

I have always wondered what it would feel like to have the air go wherever it wanted and not restricted by pants or shorts. Its really nice!

Second; you said heels are easier to walk in without pantyhose or thigh highs. I find precisely the opposite. Just yesterday morning I had a spare 20 minutes to throw on some heels while getting ready for work. I threw on my 3" Bandolino pumps, but I wasn't wearing hosiery. While they're quite comfortable with hosiery on, without...uhg. I could barely tolerate them.

To your original post; I can totally empathize. The first time I got out of the car to get gas while wearing heels was exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. I heard something quite recently that's started helping me think of people who might see me; they're NPCs. Non-player characters. Unless they decide to do something criminal, they'll have no real effect on you. Just make sure you're not where someone who knows you might see you

Sounds like we will be reading about other outtings soon, that's how it starts driving at night, putting gas. Believe it or not it's not a little thing, it takes courage to take that plung and you should be very proud of yourself.

A wonderful way to introduce your fem self to the world. I simply cannot wear heals as I'd fall and injure myself. Nonetheless, even wearing flats will give the same exhilaration. I'm betting you are already trying to figure out the next time you can go out in public.

Congratulations to you! Although my first ventures out dressed were in daylight, they were to venues where I would not be within 30 yards of anyone. It took months before I went to a gas station and didn't chicken out! How wonderful for you!

P.S. Those first dozen or so times out, I also had facial hair hidden behind a face mask. As my confidence grew, I eventually interacted with people, including cashiers.

Very nicely done! I can only hope that my first outing will be similar as I will be sometime soon going out for the first time. Although I have driven around a bit at night dressed but never in the heels or with the wig. You are an inspiration my friend

If there isn't much stopping you other than yourself, head on out. I drove around quite a bit that night as I had to do things like stop and put my heels on and somehow get the wig on in the truck. If I lift my arms up to high like putting that on, I'm fairly certain the tops of my thigh highs would show with the garter belt, so I did that part in the drivers seat. The heels are what sold it for me, they are the icing on the cake once you get out and walk in them in public.

Whynotme, So well done! I do have to tell you that this activity can be absolutely overwhelming and addictive! I can clearly remember the first time stepping out the front door, walking to the car, driving away, going into a mall, etc. They all just get better, can't wait to hear about your next "steps"!
