    Halloween is coming soon

Good afternoon ladies. Halloween is next month (here in the states). Not sure what other countries celebrate it and when but I was curious if anyone plans on going out during this time fully dressed.

Yes thanks to you Americans, we was fine on halloween with our cut out turnips and a games in the house like bobbing for apples. Then in the eighties the kids in the uk started to cotton onto the American style trick or treat, and it grew, now its massive and gangs of kids go round at night terrorising people trick or treat, no treat they egg the house kick stuff over in the gardens etc, its a nightmare. anyway gone off track now, lol. Ive never seen any one in the uk using halloween as cover, mind you we turn all the lights out pretend were not in then we dont get terrorised !!!!. Here in the uk we dont need an excuse to go out dressed we just do it.

Hi Debs. I wish the states were more welcoming and accepting of crossdressing like the UK. I guess those of us here in the states feel safer from ridicule at this time. I hope I haven?t offended you or anyone else.

    Hi there Shannon,

Since you are relatively new here, I guess you have not seen some of my wild and crazy posts. This was last years Halloweens outfit. Haha. I had a pitchfork and devil tail to go with it when I was clubbing.

And yes I had a LOT of fun. I am not sure if I can go back to the same place this year or not. We will see but I am definitely starting to think about it. It is the best night for crossdressing.

Shannon, dont be silly your not personally responsible for Halloween. and yes your right most of the UK has some sort of lgbt club or village in the big cities and towns, I go out dresssed lot have have been out shopping during the day, I dont restrict myself to any specific town or city, is just like any trip out just keep your wits about you as you would in male mode, nobody seems to bother these days. but in America it seems that its accepted that male to female dressing is perfectly acceptable at halloween time and most crossdressers take advantage of that, Ive noticed the excitement it causes in crossdressers over there. Because we are a small Island your never to far in the UK to some support from an LGBT type community and able to dress and go to there venues or meetings here in the uk.

Halloween is the only time I can actually pass.
Because u can wear masks without villagers with torches and pitchforks chasing u!

"Be careful, dear, the villagers r revolting!"

"I've been telling u that for years, Darling?"
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

I've gone out en femme with a bunch of "girl" friends for each of the last 10 years (excepting Covid). Why should this year be any different.

But, I don't go out as just a girl; I go out as a girl would go out on Halloween. I've been a Hooter's waitress, a mermaid, Wonder Woman, a Geisha girl and a bunch of others that I can't remember right now. And I had some great adventures buying some of the costumes.
Hi, I'm Steffi and I'm a crossdresser... And I accept and celebrate both sides of me. Or, maybe I'm gender fluid.

I don't go out but I do call Halloween "cheap wig season". I go to the stores and stock up.

I think I still have this costume packed away somewhere. Like my wife would let me wear it answering the door! Sigh.

She did buy me a new headband with flashy pumpkins on top. eBay lists them as pumpkin hair band for women! So in a way I will be crossdressing for Halloween, don?t tell my wife!

Nada, I got sucked into the idea and have too many halloween costumes that were never worn. They all feel too plastic and go for regular clothes, the price difference is worth it. I'll just do the normal girly dressing, besides we are in a retiremment community that does not do halloween. So it's either all saints eve, or nothing.

Shannon Lace, I can understand your concern. I do not know where you're living. There are some communities I would fear cost wearing a female costume; especially if it were a venue that had little kids there. Would a dad really want to escort his kids around attired as a woman? My only trips outside my home with the intent of interacting with fellows humans was at Halloween, twice when I was a lot younger. I did not want to wear a costume, Super Girl, Wonder Woman, witch, etc. I wore a black dress, hosiery and heels, blond wig and full makeup including nail polish.

If one has any concerns about safety I recommend doing some in-depth inquiries into local venues.

My hubby loves to dress in women's costumes for Halloween. He wouldn't miss it!

We usually go to a party that is at a hotel and/or a Halloween adult parade in another town. This year he wants to go to a multi-day Halloween pub crawl. He plans all year for this. For multiple events, he has more than one costume per year.

An interesting question and for most of my life that was a huge "Yes" as it was probably the only time I'd have a good excuse for wearing what I'd like to wear. Now that I've been out doing whatever I wished to do and have had few reactions, positive or negative, I'm rethinking the whole thing. We are just 'ordinary' people, wearing what we care to and going about our business, so why should anyone care? Obviously this argument falls apart for most of us when considering family and friends seeing us dressed and/or out.

I do plan on getting out between now and then but will likely be dressed more to blend than wearing some sort of costume so the holiday aspect won't have much impact. Now if I can get my hands on a wedding dress or ball gown, we'd definitely be having a different discussion and if I could figure out a place to go I would!

Aplace where I volunteer has a huge Halloween program for children. Volunteers are asked to dress up for the event. I would so like to wear the things shown below; but, alas, I shall resist as my wife would not particularly be happy with our friends seeing me in this outfit even though it's Halloween.

Just for the fun of it, I always wanted an Elvira outfit for Halloween. High quality Elvira costumes seem kind of hard to come by so I just ordered a cheap outfit from Amazon. I do not have anywhere planned to wear it yet. It is just one of those kind of outfits if you wait until the last minute, you can forget finding one.

As per usual, I'll likely have a Halloween party that I'll dress up at and I have some new southern belle gowns to wear to it as well. I look forward to it!

Thinking of doing a cd costume (not out and about, just per the season), but not sure what. I guess I'm looking for suggestions.

I have two massive ballgowns that require hooped petticoats. I intend to wear one or both and invite friends to my house to see me.
I don't wish to change my gender I just want to change my clothes.
