    I have a cunning plan

Debs PM?d me to say it wasn?t that long before we get to meet up again and while it is some weeks off the time will pass quickly so I?m already figuring out what to do and when while on my week?s holiday.

I?ve always said to those about to go out for the first time to have a plan. To know where you?re going and what you want to do when you get there. It might be as simple as going dressed through a drive through but you can make a decision to either pay by card or cash if you want to have more of an encounter with the staff in the booths. If it?s a bar or club you?re heading for, do you know the area, where to park that?s safe. Google street view can give you a better feel for an area if it?s somewhere you?re unfamiliar with.

Amplify that into a few days or a week away and having a plan helps you avoid wasting time deciding what it is you?re going to do and helps you get the most out of your time.

While I?m largely repeating what I?ve done many times before on my week away I always look for new things to do, different venues to go to.

I?m staying in the same property I used last year which unlike those I?ve used in the past which were isolated; this is on a residential road with neighbours on all sides. Hence as I could be observed arriving my plan starts miles away with me changing in the car, putting on a bit of slap and a wig so to arrive enfemme. For continuity the wig will be the same one I leave each morning wearing but may be changed once away from the house.

So arrive, unload the car and unpack. First job, on with false nails. I?ll need to go food shopping so having nails is one more of those things that says female to any observers. And I like the way they look and feel!

With no time to waste off out to find a supermarket and do some food shopping which is my first chance to interact in the muggle world.

One thing I don?t want to do is spend too much time shopping for the sake of it. I posted a little while ago that I have enough clothes for me to go full time and wear different things every day for weeks. Hence I?m looking for other things to occupy my time. I?ve also lost weight, the beer belly has all but gone so put me in a fitted skirt and heels and even if I say so myself, I look good. So one thing I?m looking for is places I can go and be that little bit dressier without seeming out of place. I know of a few hotel restaurants that I could eat in in the evenings but somewhere in the daytime would be nice. The cinema is another I?ve been to but that depends on there being something I want to see. Do you thing Barbie will still be showing in November?

So Sunday will be spent buying some new underwear mainly knickers, refreshing my makeup bag and a bit of general rack browsing.

Monday; A train ride to Chester, switch to the bus and head off towards Cheshire Oaks retail park. Massive M&S + separate end of line store + designer outlets. Chance for a quick bite to eat in an old Chester pub. Long day but enjoyable

Tuesday; Thinking of going to Port Meirion home of the old TV series The Prisoner. Weather dependant. Oh and I need to take a skirt to be mended.

Wednesday is Manchester day and a meet up with Debs and anyone else who wants to join us (See places to go section). Debs needs a new wig and I know of a salon we can go to.

Thursday; Lie in as I get home from Manchester in the early hours. If the weathers good I might have a walk along one of the many sandy beaches near by. A nice pub lunch is another option and a chance to dress up at least a little. In the evening a support group meet in a town called Prestatyn, a group were I first met others from our community so it's nice to touch base as they say and see how folks are progressing.

Friday; Hopefully pick up mended skirt and if I haven't already found one, buy a present for the SO. A RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) garden not that far away so although autumnal worth a look around and a chance to buy from there. A least part of the evening spend packing ready for a quick getaway in the morning. Leaving as I arrived enfemme if on the road promptly I might have time to look around a small market town on the way back before finding a place to stop, clean up and finally head for home.

So if you had a week away, what would be on your to-do list (always willing to copy other peoples good ideas!).

U have a cunning plan and I have a punning clan! At this very moment 100 T girls r partying in Vegas, Helen.

Image what u r doing, (and I must admit I would find it intimidating), only on steroids!

Imagine being able to dress any way u like day and nite for a week. No matter how simply, sexy, or garish!
U can go out any time, anywhere dressed however u like because no one is shocked by anything in Vegas!

Going to countless bars, clubs, casinos, shows, expositions, and more venues to eat and shop than u can imagine with a passel of T friends!

Unfortunately, I could not attend because of the terrible date they schedule the event for this year. But, I hope to make at least 2 of them next year! I hope your holiday is a fun fem adventure!

U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

Wow so cunning you could pin a tail on it?.

What a fantastic opportunity. I did a drive thru lunch run dressed recently. That is my most out there experience. My wife and I did do a drive across the city at night when it was dark but that was different. I love the opportunities in the UK and some parts of the US. My city is relatively small and 2 degrees of separation

Sounds like a full week, Helen. Enjoy!

Sherry, with activities like that, I would be good for one night, max. Maybe 4 hours. Then I turn into a pumpkin.

    Susan,

What can I say but wibble!

As I said in the post I'm looking for different things to do. On the Monday the bus ride takes me past Chester zoo, somewhere I've not been since a child. So if the weather is good that might be a new place to go. Also near to the retail park is a large Sea World aquarium so if the weather's not so good somewhere else I could visit. Train and bus times will play their part in whether or not I can fit them in.

I've also done a bit of Internet digging to look for LGBTQ friendly venues within drivable distance of where I'm staying. Found a couple of potentially favorable places and I'm also going to email the secretary of the support group firstly to ask out of simple courtesy if it's alright for me to come along and also if she can suggest places were I'd be welcomed.

I also started the post by saying for those going out for the first time have a plan, an addendum to that's if it's your first shopping trip, have something to shop for so you don't aimlessly wonder the racks looking like a shoplifter. One thing I'll be looking for is a white pencil skirt. Saw one on a news presenter and thought how good it looked. That and a couple more bralettes.

Helen, Sound like you have a great week planned. Enjoy. And if I may, can you translate "putting on a bit of slap" from English to American.
Please call me Jamie, I always_have crossdressed, I always will, "alwayshave".

Ways to not look suspicious shopping:

Don't appear nervous. they'll really think you're up to something.

Showing up just After opening or just before closing. It may be less crowded but it will set up red flags for the staff especially safety concerns near closing.

Dress appropriately to attract less attention. it's not a club. It's not a party. it's just shopping. It's not about how you want to dress. It's time to look at how other shoppers dress and try to match them.

Be prepared for someone to ask if you need help. be prepared to accept that help if need be. weird nervous dismissals when questioned? see rule number one.
