Women are lucky

I used to dress with a shirt and tie in the office for years. I loved some of my great looking ties. In reality, they were one of the few ways I could express myself by spicing up my outfit with some color, although I did have some nice pink and purple dress shirts too. The balance of my attire was pretty much stuck within the confines of societal norms for men. Dark and boring. As a photographer for many weddings I would note the drab attire of the guys and the wide array of clothing that women were able to select from. So while there are downsides, yes, women are lucky in there choices I believe overall. Hence why I choose to partake when possible. This is not the only area of discrimination. Recently I was shopping for a new bike. Seems like every time I saw one in a color scheme I liked, I was told that was a women?s bike. Here you go sir, same model for men, yes you can get it in black or gray!! Damn!

Women are lucky to be able to wear pantyhose without the feeling of guilt or being looked at as someone with problems. I would be in seventh heaven to walk around with pantyhose and shorts every day.

Maybe lucky. But women do not usually wear pantyhose with shorts.

Great stories here. Yes they are so so very lucky. Every time out I see the comfy black leggings and oh so wish I could be there like that too. Just built wrong for everyday outings.

Bad luck, Char! We grew up in the 50's, too. But, in SoCal. After my sister was very young she rarely wore dresses anywhere. Including to our family, holiday, gatherings. Even the adult women often wore slacks there.

If we went outside to play my sister came, too. In fact, after she was about 10 I don't recall seeing her in a dress except at her wedding!

I had the same issue as your sister, Doc. Wearing dresses as a kid and not being able to play outside is overrated. Once I had a say, I didn?t wear dresses to family events any longer.

The thing is, would you happen to be a woman, you wouldn't care much.

I consider myself lucky to live in this era, as a man I am free to dress en femme without any pushback. That includes shopping, church, and doctor appointments.

I have always felt that way.
I do not wear the tights as much but everything else.
The sexy lingerie (bra and panties), shoes, jewlery, makeup.
The clothing selection is amazing, my only problem is it can get expensive.
Oh yes and the heels.
