I recently read where an increasing number of younger Americans (I can't recall the exact age ranges) are identifying as LGBTQ. It was not broke down so you could see how many identified as transgender; but I assume there was an increase. I know we have been constantly bombarded over the past few years with attacks on LGBTQ persons. But I do honestly believe that the overall trend is in our favor. As someone who came out as trans (only to my wife) I am envious of younger people who have much more support. As a 69 year old I cannot even begin to imagine what the reaction would have been if I had come out as trans in my formative years. So while I am envious of the younger people I am happy that they at least have options and support when and if they decide whatever path to follow.
