I was shopping yesterday and walked past the M.A.C. display at Nordstrom Rack.
There was a Mission Statement posted on the rack. It said, "Any Face, Any Race, Any Gender".
How's that for a DE&I statement.

Hi, I'm Steffi and I'm a crossdresser... And I accept and celebrate both sides of me. Or, maybe I'm gender fluid.
Hi Steffi , That is Awesome, Thanks, >Orchid**OO**
Having my ears triple pierced is AWESOME, ~~......
I can explain it to you, But I can't comprehend it for you !

Be careful what you wish for, Once you ring a bell , you just can't Un-Ring it !! !!
That is wonderful. It is nice to see that at least some are still embracing that perspective. It is a little scary what is happening in this country and the drift back into the old patterns of thinking. We must all stand firm.
Very concise!

MAC has always been very welcoming and helpful.
And Just good business sense! The more faces that wear makeup, the more business! I always loved MAC.
A wonderful advance for us on the DE&I front, but also intelligent business sense. Why any business would turn away a law abiding paying customer is beyond me.

That is so great! Might as well expand your customer base. Think of that almost untapped market of CD, Trans, etc that could use their help and purchase products with the comfort level they provide, but are held back by societal norms. I know that would help me feel a little less hesitant about using their services.
I've shopped at MAC for about 15 years and had a full makeover at one of their locations.
They always treated me with respect and kindness no matter how I presented. I've been using their products for a long time.
I don't wear women's clothes, I wear MY clothes !
For them to openly court us, there must be a heck of a lot more of us than we know... well done MAC!

Given the cost of makeup, every sale is the color green.
I've always preferred a natural look on a woman vs the makeup look. My opinion being irrelevant to this thread, makeup is very very slowly crossing the gender line. Not talking about trans or CDs, but regular everyday men are becoming more likely to use some eye makeup, foundation/cover up (I don't know the difference), nail polish, etc. A good friend of mine was courted by a Mary Kay consultant 20 years ago and briefly wore a little even back then.
That is the America I thot I was growing up in.
But, apparently it's----oh u know!
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.
Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!
I love it. Why discount out 50% of the population?
Works for me!
Please call me Jamie, I always_have crossdressed, I always will, "alwayshave".
DE&I is not not our friend. It's a means of manipulating people like us.
To be free, drop the words Race and Gender.
Simply-- any face period, no worries.
Our faces and desire for beauty unite us. Any words about race or gender divide us and set us up for exploitation.
For a makeup company the marketing teams are just being smart ie mission statement.... $$$$$$$
Escapism isn't necessarily bad, but is definitely unhealthy in the long term. While helpful in the short term, things will degrade over time. At some point, the escapee will have to face the issue. Things simply blowing over isn't really going to happen in many situations.
The message reads well, but what is the real motivation behind it....
Is it a sign of acceptance and progress for TG people, or just a cynical marketing ploy to boost sales?
Perhaps a bit of both....
