Years ago my dear wife bought me some Hanes RHT sheer nylons, extra long. I was awed. They long ago developed runs, as most sheer nylons do, but I just could get rid of them. They?ve came in real handy as bra stuffers, that is until I got my wonderful silicone forms. Still can?t part with them.

I still have my 1st nightgown. its about 45 years old now. I dont wear it anymore as it is very threadbare and the nylon is starting to fray. It gives me great memories

So true. Opaque, textured, you name it. Tights are my favorite and shall never be parted with.

I have an old favorite dress. It is a dusty rose print on an off white crinkled rayon background. It will soon be unwearable, but I will just store it away. I am normally not sentimental about things like this, but there are too many memories with this one.

About 30 years ago, before I married her, my then girlfriend bought me a pair of a local brand dark green jeans. As I'm very tall, it was hard for her to find very long jeans, and they really didn't fit well on me, but I liked them and used from time to time. About 15 years ago, I bought a pair of "Wrangler for Women" jeans that were long enough for me and use them in secret as I'm in a strict DADT relationship, and they look and feel good when used with more padding than usual. One day I tried the green ones while in drab and something made a click in my head. I took both jeans and compared them: both had the exact same cut and size. So, I guess that the local brand copied the design, and somehow my wife bought them without knowing they were for women. I still have and use them (with pads) in both male and female mode. If she knew what she gave me as a present!!!

SO TRUE! I still have a white One Size floor-length Tosca of California peignoir set that my wife & I bought together. So many fond memories go with that set that it will ALWAYS be a part of my somewhat meager collection.

Unfortunately, I purged more times than I can count, thinking if I got rid of the clothes, I would get rid of the urge (we all know how that went!!)

I just moved to a new place, so had to decide what to keep and what needed to go. I went full time/transitioned last year, but never really cleaned out what I didn't need any more. Male clothes gone, but I had quite a bit of women's that just wasn't flattering, or out of style that I donated. I did have one skirt suit that was one of the first things I bought, and it always fit so well, so I hung on to it. It was a pretty timeless suit style, with a herringbone print, so its still pretty nice to wear out.

Years ago I found a girdle with garter snaps in a resale shop that looked exactly like the girdle I tried on when I was maybe 11 from my mom's dresser which changed everything for me. Such a wonderful memory and I still occasionally wear it with nylons and love looking in the mirror, brings back memories and is in my drawer, never thought that could happen back then!

Over the years I purged many times before I accepted who I really was.
Nothing was sacred from the bin then. I was ashamed of what I was doing and the person I was.
After I finally accepted who I am and how I prefer to dress. I feel that it will all be saved until my day comes.
then whoever gets to clean out my house will have to deal with the rest.
I have such a hard time throwing anything away now. Even items that will never fit me again.

But I guess if I had to choose one thing it would be my girdles and body briefers.
my sister's reply when I told her how I prefer to dress

"Everyone has there thing, all that matters is that you are happy, love what you do and who you do it with"

I have a silver dress that hangs off one shoulder. I think I look amazing in it, given my tall slender with long legs form. It's the first "dress" I ever bought. I won't ever part with it!

About the only thing that qualifies for me is this:

I have an elastic waist, knee length, patterned skirt that I'll probably never part with.
Not so much because it's comfortable, but because it's the one piece that a lady I was dating borrowed and wore while going out with me. Not because it was some "secret" thing between us (or anything like that), but simply because she thought it would look good.
That simple act of acceptance (and dare I say - "normality"?), endowed that skirt with a special aura that remains to this day - even though the borrower is long gone.

I got some of my first clothes from the Sears catalog and picked up my packages at the Sears catalog counter. That was a long, long time ago. Sears mismanaged so badly. At that time, they were the Amazon of mail order, but they shut down their mail order business about the same time that everyone else was just starting up. Karmic bad timing.

I was still living with mom and dad, and we weren't a Sears customer. I had to actually buy my first Sears catalog to become a Sears customer.

Hi, I'm Steffi and I'm a crossdresser... And I accept and celebrate both sides of me. Or, maybe I'm gender fluid.

A pair of green high leg panties which I had to wear one disastrous day. From that day I began wearing knickers as a matter of course.

I still have my very first lbd, purchased from Roman originals, motor years ago than I can remember. But I don't think that I have worn it for at least two years now, it's a bit too short these days.

I still have the first items of clothing that I ever tried on. They were my mother?s bikini. About a year or 2 after I started dressing I noticed they were in a box of clothes between the 2 of us to be donated. When she went to work the next day I went into the box and removed them. I had to keep them hidden away from my primary stash while I was still living with my mother. But now they are in a drawer with other clothing. I still wear them from time to time.

For me it?s my first perfume. Elizabeth Arden ?pretty hot? (cringy name) something about wearing perfume felt like it took things to a new level. One of the few advantages of dressing rarely. I?ll never use it up.

Unless they are beyond repair, I don't get rid of anything.
