I wish to apply to get my UK Gender Recognition Certificate so that I can legally change my birth and marriage certificates along with my exam certificates to show my new name / correct gender, which something that is very important to me.
I have a formal diagnosis of Gender Incongruence - HA60 (ICD 11) from the gender consultant and my doctor will happily provide the second medical report they want.
I also have more than enough full evidence of living as a woman for the past two years, as required by the rules. My wife is happy to sign the formal declaration in front of a solicitor that we wish to remain married. So I am happy everything needed is in place.
I know the process is a tough one to get through, and I have heard a lot of horror stories about how hard it is to get a GRC. I wondered if anyone has been through the process and how your experience of it has been?
Hugs, Abigail
