If you say "Discretion is the better part of valor", you mean that avoiding a dangerous or unpleasant situation is sometimes the most sensible thing to do.
But, I think there's a flip side. Sometimes doing something dangerous is better that falling back on discretion. I guess another more American of saying it is, "Go Big or Go Home". That's what I did today.
My wife and I had a big argument today and it wasn't about crossdressing, even though crossdressing is always "the Elephant in the room". Basically, the argument was about my wife's cognitive deficits. After the argument, we agreed to go our separate ways for the afternoon.
To use up my last saying for this post, "When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping".
I still had some mad money (or happy money) in my wallet that I hadn't spent during my Girls Retreat in (New) Lancaster (PA, USA). My first goal was to check out Spirit Halloween and Party City for Halloween outfits and accessories at half price. I picked up a black lacy skirt, a black leotard and a couple of pairs of fancy fishnet stockings.
Then I went to Macy's Back Stage discount store within a store. I found a red satin body suit in a 1X and I took it into the dressing room covered up by a pair of women's jeans. It was a little big but it fit OK, and it was cheap enough that I was going to buy it. As I walked out of my stall I saw a black dress with red and green sequins and low V front profile hanging on the return rack. It was so me that I had to try it on, so I took in back into my dressing. It was a size 12, which is usually a little small for me, but it kind of worked. I'll have to take it home to see if it still fits well when I'm wearing my bra and forms. On my way out I saw a black midi flapper dress much more authentic than the one I wore an Halloween. I was almost out of cash, but I decided to dip into my emergency cash to buy it also.
