Time and time again, while out shopping or whatever, I'd run into a child who would not only stare, but get up the nerve to ask "are you a boy or a girl". Your answer could be either, depending on the situation. At first, I would say boy, but I figured I'm not hurting anyone and just say girl. I never got an argument out of it.
