Almost had all my stuff found!

I was feeling kind of uncomfortable with all the femme clothing I had stashed at home, especially since I am in the closet to my wife. So I recently rented a storage locker in a self-storage place in the next town. It's climate controlled, so my things should be okay. I moved all my things there and have felt more comfortable since I did.

This afternoon, my 14 year old son opens up the little storage space under the basement stairs where I had been keeping my stuff and says "I wonder what daddy has in here?" If he had seen my femme gear and of course retted me out to my wife, I would have been dead! Thank goodness I cleared it all our last month.

So true. I suspect that your son, like Kilroy, had been there before and was looking to embarress you as 14 yr olds love to do.

My youngest Son found my stash when he was 14. The "kitten" was literally "out of the bag" then.

Don't know why but sometimes it feels like something out there aids to spare us from potential disaster...i walked out of house with bright red lipstick on..rest was just normal work gear..coast seemed clear...then out of the blue a builder appeared and called out to me,i was locking my door so had my back to him which gave me a chance to wipe it off on my cuff....he just wanted to ask if he could leave his ladders in the ally...any way i get into the car as planned put my keys in the igniition then my neighbour crossed in front of it and waved hello ....That was close..thank the stars/fate/6th sense the builder called out..

My son is 35 and lives 500 miles away, so I don't have to worry about him finding my stuff.

I'm sorry to hear you do not think your wife would be supportive. that's a sad state of affairs when you have to hide stuff from your other half . I hope one day you will find a way to broach the subject with her. Otherwise when she does happen to come across something of yours..and she finds out you've been keeping it secret so long. well, let's just say it won't be pretty.

Karyn, I wonder if he already knew what was in there and this was a show to let you know he knows it is gone.

Maybe he misses having the stuff there?? That would be an interesting concept, the CDing son wearing the CDing dads things instead of mom's.... Hummm.

That was a close call. You will feel better about storing your femme attire offsite. I too rent a storage shed and have done so for 8 years. It's somewhat inconvenient but it gives me peace of mind. I envy you girls with partners who understand.

    Karyn,

Why are you afraid to share all of you with your wife? To keep this important part of the total you from your wife is the opposite of honesty. If you both have a stable, mature, and loving marital relationship, sharing your total self with her will not end the marriage. If it would, something important is missing. I say this to all of you who hide this part of your total self from your wives.

    Hugs,
