    Subduing sexual arrousal - help

Hope there is someone out there with some real help.

Whenever I dress, I like to tuck or even better, tape my "manhood" away. Unfortunately while dressing and when dressed I get aroused and dear jonnie gets excited - and we know what wants to happen. This can be uncomfortable when tucked but is more of a problem when taped.
I have found this method of taping that can give you a neat little "feminie shape", but if I get aroused, it can become a bit painfull as well, and more of a problem, is the not-so-fem (or nice) bulge it creates. I only dress every few weeks if lucky, sometimes get a weekend for myself but thats it and I want to make the most of the experience in the safety of home or hotel.
Is there some form of medication/cream?? out there that can be used. Nothing permanent like hormone thearopy but something like the opposite of Viagra?

If there was an application that worked, I would be afraid of consequences....

How about thinking about someone or something decidedly "unsexy" ? Someone with powerful "shrivel factor"?

    All the best!

Go Roberta - nice thoughts in lieu of the good thoughts.

How about taking a cold shower first or wear looser skirts and dresses. Aren't gaffs supposed to help you there? I was told there is a specific technique, which I don't know yet, that folds and tucks it away and can be somewhat comfortable once you get accustomed to it.

To a degree I think there is a sexual aspect to crossdressing for a lot of us. I don't have your problem anymore. I'm not sure why, it might be that I have come to realize what I truly feel. Without getting to graphic at one time I did have your problem. I would alleviate that problem then rip my clothes off and feel really depressed. I read some advice from a counselor that said to go ahead and alleviate you problem but force yourself to stay dressed. After awhile you will not have the same problem anymore. It did help me when I was aroused but it can be hard to stay dressed. You must get over the feelings of guilt. Time helped me more than anything but you might try this and see if it helps. I wish you lots of luck with resolving your problem.

    This link is interesting.
An Anaphrodisiac is a preparation that works against sexual response. There is information on this link about urban legends like Saltpeter and Potassium Bromide, and some hints of preparations that might work....

An erection starts in your head. Get your head right. Why would you want to dress at all WITHOUT sexual excitement, if you are sexually excited by dressing? What is your motive?

Your subliminal desires and your intellect are not working in the same direction are they?

It's a Catch-22. You want to look more like a women, hence the tucking, but in doing so, you become aroused, and the tucking comes undone.

When I first starting dressing, I tucked a few times for pictures. It was cool to see nothing dangling out in front. At least in the pics, I was a woman. But tucking's a chore, and uncomfortable. And besides, we're guys. We shouldn't be ashamed of the equipment we came with. Recognize your manhood, along with your feminine side.

This is an interesting topic. I've always been surprised that I can tuck for as long as I want and not get an erection. I love going out dressed, but for some reason my excitement doesn't translate to that. But if I'm in drab and thinking about getting dressed, that will get a rise out of me every time. I suppose when I'm dressed and out, my mind is somehow in a different mode.

In the Navy, they used to use a stuff called "salt peter" for just this reason. Don't know what it is chemically or if/where it's available.

    Tall Sam,

Don't go messing around with pharmaceuticals or anything. Your solution is simple: Right before you tuck, um, er, take care of yourself (sorry in advance to the mods). Assuming you're not an adolescent, that should do the trick.

For goodness sake, dear, not to be too blunt about it, but why don't you masturbate, then get on with your dressing? Wouldn't that solve your problem?

BTW, saltpeter is sodium nitrate. I think that it's an urban myth about lessening sexual desire. Sodium nitrite is a potent vasodilator which might reduce an erection or prevent one, but it's effect on lowering the blood pressure would be so great as to make it's use in any but a controlled medical situation quite damgerous.

I too enjoy having a nice smooth panty front and would get excited sometimes as I dressed, but the constant pressure of some nice tight panties would generally help me overcome the buldge and cause things to smooth out after awhile. Of course then I would look in the mirror problems would arise, lol.

Lol that was my first thought on reading the this thread!

Once the novelty factor wears off you should be able to tuck and tape without arousal!

I cant imagine what the problem is. Yes I like to look like a real GG but when my excitment is rising i'm paying more attention to and looking at my blouses with breast forms. make up, ect. The sensual feeling of dressing like a real GG is why I do it. Tight panties, The feel of panty hose, the sound of high heels clicking on the the hard floors, the short skirts. Visual, Audio, Its all part of the package. Oh yes I get a handle too while dressing and thats why I do it.

    Gun powder!

/slt peter is one of the main ingredients of black powder, too. Too much of that, and k-blewie! I have never tried it,nor heard any mention of it, but what about a jock strap, to keep it down? I am on several medications, for other things, and I have very little sex drive, at all. and, I am part glad, and part sad, for that.

I think that for some, the dressing triggers a sexual excitement, in that case, "taking care of business" will also take away the sexual excitement leaving no desire or want to dress at that time.

Never thought I would get such a variety of answers!!
There seems to be some common thread in that if your sort yourself out (masterbate for the less descrete) as I have tried, it does remove the urge for dressing. When dressed and I get the urge and sort myself out, then the fem feeling of arousal goes and I dont feel like being dressed -- bugger catch 22! you want the arousal but need to direct the ENERGY elsewhere.

As for salt peter, I was in the navy many years back and they rumoured that this was put in our food - didnt seem to make a difference!

We cant change what we are, but its forgetting our manhood, even for a moment is what counts so I cant agree with those who comment about recognising my manhood.
Roberta I will chech out the site and Sedona, thanks for the warning, no I wont go and do something stupid.

I used to have that problem, but it went away. I think it was because as time went on and I was dressing more, it wasn't a sexual turn on so much anymore. It became a need to dress, psychologically. But even while dressed, now and then, something triggers that physical response. I've even had it while trying on outfits at Walmart. However it rarely happens anymore. There's still that morning 'tension', so I guess it still works!
