I tried it, but it just didn't work out....

Awhile ago, some of you may remember that I posted a thread debating the wig issue on a personal level. I didn't know if I should get one or not. Many of you were very supportive and I appreciate it a lot. So I took the plunge and purchased this cute wig off of ebay, I fell in love with it the second I saw it. Unfortunately, I just don't look good in it, maybe it's the facial hair. (And I am not ready to shave that off.) Either way, I decided I would rather look like a man in drag than look like a bearded lady. I am going to resell it on ebay, if anyone is interested in buying it they can contact me and I will send pictures. Thanks everyone for your help!

Red face I know how you feel

    Hi Jill,

I know just how you feel. I've had my two wigs for about two years but they mostly just stayed in my closet because they just clashed with my beard and moustache. One of them is close to my natural hair color so, I would get it out from time to time and I just looked like a guy with long hair and a beard.

I only just shaved last Friday for the first time in more than 20 years. Believe me, it was no easy thing. However, I was starting to develop a little skin condition that was difficult to deal with through all that hair. So, it wasn't just the CDing that prompted the decision.

But,now that its gone, the wigs look MUCH better on me. So, I'm happy to have hung on to them. I'm planning to keep a clean face from now on.

But, when I saw my face for the first time in so long...

I just bought my first wig this past week off ebay. Have not seen it yet, should be here any day. I will try and get a pic when my digital camera gets fixed.

Hehe. It is a little tough to have a wig make you look more feminine if you have a beard.. I remember when I got my first one. It came in and after work I was all dirty and scrubby looking. I tried it on with a catsuit and I looked like a Speed Metal Rock n Roller...lolol..

needless to say, I always shave the face real well before trying to use makeup and such... Without it, to me, it is just too un-attractive..

    Exclamation

    Jill,

Since I was one of the ones who urged you to get a wig I have to say I never would have if I knew you had facial hair! Girl, you gotta include the fine details in situations like this!

Anyway, I hope one of two things happens
    1. You get that face to match those legs
    2. You get more than you paid when you sell it
