    Are you a stay-at-home tranny?

I see a lot of people on here who don't seem to go out dressed, but will spend the evening in women's clothes, even if it's just casually sitting around or sleeping in some piece of women's clothing.

Personally, when I was younger (and by younger I mean up till a few months ago), I liked to try on the occasional piece of the girlfriend's clothing while she wasn't around ... and (sorry if I'm grossing anyone out) this always lead to watching some porn then taking the item(s) back off. I would never just hang around or sleep in girls' clothes.

These days I have a lot of clothes and I like to go to CD-friendly clubs on the weekend, but I never just lounge around in girls' clothes. I consider myself very fortunate to live in an area with a few clubs that I feel comfortable at. I never actually go to normal public places, though. I was just wondering how many of you go out and what your feelings are on the issue.

If you stay at home, I would be very interested in reading if this is primarily because the wife doesn't really approve, if you're too uncomfortable to go out, if there are no CD-friendly clubs in your area, or if you just have no interest.

    Thanks!

I'm a stay at home crossdresser, but I almost never dress up alone. It is something the wife and I do together as part of our love games. Before her, I dressed alone. I've never had any desire or fantasy about going out in public dressed. I can't imagine what benefit I would get out of it. Crossdressing isn't my life, it's just something fun that I do.

I'm stay-at-home too. And much more likely to be lounging around (or working) than watching porn!

I'd love to go out, and it's probably sheer cowardice that I haven't so far. But I seem to be getting more self-confidence by the day, so that situation may not last. I hope it doesn't, anyway...

    Kisses,

Im currently a stay at home CD, I have been out whilst i was living in North Yorkshire dressed em feme, as i was going to go down the TS route in my life.

While ive got comfrtable being Joanna-Louise part of my dressing at home only comes down to not having "real life" trand/cd friends so don't really know of any clubs/pubs that are CD/TS friendly.

Would love to go out every now and again tho all dolled up and let Joanna let her hair down for an evening.

guess i fit into that category. i normally dress in the house but more recently ive started to go out wearing womens trousers/denims and tops and some lite makeup. before we go out my wife looks me over to make sure it not too obvious as she likes to keep it a thing we do. compromise on both sides

I always wear fem clothes, so doing everyday stuff, I'm dressed. If I'm going "out", meeting or TG friendly place, I dress a little nicer and use more makeup.

I stay at home mostly but I underdress a lot. That wasn't one of the choices. I bet it would be popular!!!!

Mostly at home, but I do go out occasionally. When I do, it is a conservative middle aged look....NOTHING flashy.

I guess I am a stay at home tranny. Since I am the housewife in our house. And always seem to be home. But I like it that way.

I'm one of those who does manage to venture out on occasion, just doing normal things like shopping, clubbing, to the movies etc....

I'm sure that sometimes I am "made" as a tv/cd but so far no one has come out and shouted it out loud.

I like the fact that I can go out sometimes and do and act like a female and sometimes get away with it. It is definately easier for buying shoes and clothes if you can try them on first!

I dress only at home because my wife only tolerates my dressing and I only dress when she is away. I might consider going out if I had her support. I know it would be very enjoyable for me.

    I dress at home.
Someday, in a more tolerant world, I feel like I would be able to go out dressed.
For now, I only leave the house in my dreams and by reading and posting on this wonderful website!

I dress at home but do dress in public when I go to another city about twice a year. I dress at a cd club when I get there and then out on the town I go. I don't drive there dressed because I visit my father along the way and he doesn't know about me being transgendered. I have recently separated from my wife and she has asked me not to dress in public for my kids sake.

Most of my dressing is at home, but I do go out occasionally as long as my wife goes with me. We've gone away for weekend shopping trips and I've dressed for the trip. I'm too nervous to appear locally where someone I know might recognize either of us. We also attend our local Tri-Ess chapter meetings together too. I didn't vote in the poll because there wasn't an option that seemed to fit my situation. And add me to the list of those who dislike the word "tranny."

Mostly at home, but if I do go out dressed it's almost always to friends or relations.

I don't have the opportunity to go as far as I would wish! So, limited CDing at home and in secret is the best I can manage, for now.
I have taken some feminine items out with me, years ago when I lived alone for a while and dressed to a limited extent, when certain that I had found a very quiet spot out in the country or on a (guaranteed!) deserted beach. Found this very erotic but nice in other ways, too!
Don't think I would ever have the courage, or maybe even the desire, to venture out into a "public" space. Not sure how convincing I would be, anyway; I would love to be able to try everything on, when alone at home, including make-up and a really nice wig, just to see the result and to know how it would really feel.:blushing:

Hi Racquel, I guess I have to be a "stay at home". In the area I live there is way too many people that are too narrow minded to chance things. I do push the limit as far as I can. I am always underdressed, legs shaved, toes polished. I even wear eye shadow that is a color that is very hard to see with my skin tone. I don't go to clubs, not any to go to, but wal-mart, shopping and family get togethers are my "outs". At home I am dressed as most any GG would, lite make up, I do my finger nails, lay around in comfy fem clothes or night gowns. Some days when the mood strikes I fully dress, heels to hair style! I hope this answers some of your questions, write anytime. Kaitlin

Stay at home for the following reasons-

Wife doesn't know (not sure what her acceptance level will be when she finds out)

Rest of family would definitely not support it

Would have devasting effect on my career if discovered

    I do on occassion underdress

    Are you a stay-at-home tranny?

Mostly I enjoy being Malori at home but have dressed in some gender-bending cowl neck sweaters my wife knows about.

I see this as being a "gender activist"--trying to soften the gender walls so that men can feel more comfortable wearing somewhat more feminine clothing. I think we need to do this as much as possible or we'll never get anywhere. Sure, I get the occasional "look" but I've also gotten a few "knowing smiles" from strangers who seem to understand what I'm doing. Besides, I feel sexy as hell when I go public!

That said, I don't go for "extreme" cross-dressing as I doubt I'd pass anyway; I don't want to wear makeup or heels and I don't have much of a femme figure to flaunt anyway.

My wife, after several stormy years, has finally come to accept my occasional gender excursions, so I don't want to press my luck.

Still, I envy those of you who do go the extreme cross-dressing in public. You've got guts!

    Hugz,

    Malori
