I used to work printing, but I worked bindery, which where I worked, they had a pretty even number of males as females. For machine operators, its about 90% male.
I worked retail at a department store, which was mostly women. Some nights I was the only guy. I guess the ratio was about 70/30 women/men.
I worked at a women's clothing store for 2 months in shipping. I was the only guy.
In college, my program was mostly men. Multimedia. Not a particularly manly job, but I guess guys tend to get into computers more.
Where I work now, in publishing, its about 2 women and 9 men in my specific department.
Well, I have been a Highway Maintenance worker, a Truck Driver, A paint manufacturer, a Mechanic. And I have always been in the closet, although I have been known to wear girl things under my guy clothes.
Ladies have a GREAT time!

hi Jill
Work for the government as a aircraft mechanic
I love being a girl
Pretty male dominated, at least in my field where it's something like 90% male, which should roughly tell you which field I'm referring too:-)
Speaking of meds, I'm a pharmacy technician going to school to be a pharmacist. I think this field has slightly more women than men, probably 60-40. Where I work there is only one other guy.
The Mechanical Engineering / CAD Designer jobs I've had are mostly male dominated. I rarely see women engineers. Of the 30 or so CAD Designers at my current job only 2 are females. And a lot of guy talk goes around, so it would be bad if they found out I was wearing panties. Well, I don't want to get my collection of panties dirty and worn out, so I only wear a few sacrificial ones. Or maybe I'll stop, because panties are expensive compared to a pack of men's Fruit of the Loom.
Radio Comms Technician for 25 years and came across one GG apprentice.
Photocopier technician for 12 years never came across a GG in this job.

Always remember you're unique... Just like everyone else.
I'm a Police Officer, and would be ridiculed mercilessly if anyone at my workplace found out about me.
I work in the aerospace industry. I'm also a pilot. I like big, noisy machines that move fast as hell.
Andrea is well contained and never, ever involves herself in my daily dude routine.
Yeah, I'm with Police Officer Melissa on the "ridiculed mercilessly" boat.
I dont know how "manlly" my job is.. I am a Surveillance investigator for a large casino company.. I have to carry handcuffs every day and my main "job" = (just over broke), is catching theives in the act or after the matter and compiling a "case" against them to be found and prosecuted in a court of law.. or just company protection.
Believe it or not.. "most" of the theives in my area are actually lil'ol ladies who just dont know any better... But there are always a few real BAD guys..
And yes I sometimes wear pantyhose under my workclothes sometimes, but it gets kina hot.. And no I could not ever go to work dressed up, = a problem for everybody..

Back in the late 60s was a telemetry recorder operator at Huneysuckle creek tracking station during Appollo 11.
Extended my house by 110 sq metres a few years ago. Have a new bionic hip installed ( some of me is younger )!!
These days I bike ride furiously, and stay seriously fit. Can do most things from carpentry to mechanicals to sewing. Fitted a holden V6 comodore engine into my 1978 Hi Ace toyota Camper van. ... Still got it!
Now I can grow my nails as long as I want!
All sorts of jobs but mainly engineering of the aeronautical persuation (military)...now I'm doing soemthing completely different but still in a male dominated world.
I'm surprised at how many aircraft related jobs are here....I wonder if there is a connection?

It could be that those of us with "masculine" jobs or careers surrounded by guys need a break now and then from the traditional roles that we perceive we have based on societal norms. In other words, crossdressing is a form of relaxation; a way to slough off the man skin for a few hours. I feel this way personally because there isn't a chance in hell I would ever want to actually be a woman.
Suzy, that's pretty funny! But no, I'm not the President.

What does this say about me then ?......
I work at an electronics manufacturing company as a Production Maintenance Technician (on large machinery) AND ride a motorcycle.
Maybe that's why I strip off the drab immediately when I get home from work and "get the femme on".
1. I wanted to be a firefighter since I can remember.Another Firefighter here.... I think that makes four or five either current or retired firefighters. Two questions to other firefighters-
1. Were you always drawn to being a firefighter or was it because you wanted to do something "manly" in an effort to mask or avoid the crossdressing?
2. How receptive were you to genetic female firefighters? Did you encourage them or did you subcumb to the peer pressure of demonizing them?
2. I encourage them, as long as they can do the work, but that goes for anyone male or female.
I'm in the closet, noone knows, I couldn't imagine what the guy's would do if they found out. I do however wear pantyhose to work, but take them off when in uniform. I wear pantyhose most of the time when I'm in my man clothes though. My wife may have an inkling, because she calls if she's comming home at a different time.
I wonder how many of us, I mean crossdressers, there are in life who barley even admit to themselves? 25% maybe?

I am a Sr. Software Engineer. This field is still dominated by males, but have meet a few GG Engineers. Software Engineers tend to be Geeky, and you don't find a lot of Geeky GG's.
Most of the jobs I have have were male dominated. Military, CIA, Medical Reaserch, Turbine Controls, and Software Engineering.

Attorney. Used to be a manly job.
Thank goodness we had the equal rights movement in the 60's. There are women attorneys and judges all over the place now. Still, some glass ceilings to break through in some partnership circles and boardrooms. . . And its been a one way revolution, a male secretary or paralegal is still freakishly rare.
