Hi -
I had some questions about hormonal therapy. As my journey of discovery goes on, I have been more and more thinking about starting hormone therapy. However, I have the following questions. I don't intend to go full-time due to my job, but I want to become more passable. I am Asian, 5'6, 140lbs. So I'm about average size I guess. But I want to have more of an hourglass figure, and have less prominent shoulders. So I'm thinking to go on hormones.
1) Do I have to go to a doctor? If so, how do I go about finding a t-girl friendly one?
2) Is there a possibility to do it anonymously? I.e. go to a clinic or something.
3) Do hormones have any permanent effects?
4) What are the side effects?
5) Will the effects stop when I stop therapy?
6) Are there other alternatives to hormones that give similar effects?
7) Will it prevent me from having children in the future (if I choose to)?
8) Will the changes be significant and noted by my co-workers and/or family?
9) Does your insurance cover it (in the US)?
My main concerns are the broad shoulders and the constant hair.... and i'd like to have a more feminine face. Thanks everyone!
