    I posted in another forum about my fun experience at Wal-Mart - now I realize I might have been photographed? Yikes? I was not en femme, but on shopping for normal home supplies at the WM, I picked up a bra, some undies and a cute nightgown that caught my eye - when checking out the store clerk, a young woman, smiled and told me I'd look good in the nightgown and she hoped I enjoyed it - no prompting, she just knew it was for me. And I thanked her and got a twinkling smile from her as I left. So I always shop at that WM for home supplies because she was such a good sport and so nice to me....

    First, with respect to security cameras, WHO CARES? I recently worked at Target stores in Dallas area and Minneapolis area for about four years. I can assure you that the last thing a store "team member" cares about is a customer, be they GG, TG, or Martian. It isn't talked about in break rooms at all. Employees do have their own lives, after all.

    As for shopping dressed at Walmart, it's great. Especially in Texas, as most have a McDonalds in the stores where you can sit and have coffee and people watch.

    The thing is, if you go to Walmart during the daytime, it'll be more crowded, maybe a lot more. Sabrina prefers to go shopping there later at night for just that reason.

    Oh, related to this...the day of my hair appointment, after I'd detransformed, I was actually in a Walmart, and, in fact, I was carrying some nail polish remover and mascara. Suddenly, at a distance, I spotted a guy pushing a basket...wearing a strapless maxi dress. He was so obviously a CD he should have worn a placard around his neck, but he definitely looked like "guy in a dress," with at least one visible tattoo on his upper body. Half of me was tempted to chase him down and say, "Honey, you're not even trying! You're going to give the rest of us a bad name!"

    Not to discourage anyone, but a former co worker of mine became a regional loss prevention manager for Wal Mart about five years ago. We ran into each other about four months back and she had just lost her job. I asked what were some of the funnier moments working there, and she mentioned watching guys in the women's departments acting nervous while browsing lingerie and dresses, and trying on clothes. So while they may not come right out and give you a hard time, someone's behind the camera and probably having a laugh from time to time. I personally could care less, I buy girly stuff there anyway.

    I sort of agree with this statement. Cameras are everywhere. Remember George Orwell's 1984. Maybe it is just Big Brother. Anyway, cameras are everywhere, and used for any number of purposes. That was not even on my mind when i went to Wal-Mart. If they were there, i would have been captured on video or photograph, but i go to Wal-Mart all the time en drab, so i have been photographed or videotaped already. Plus, my job has me in the public eye from time to time, and there is always someone with a camera there to take pictures. Alot of companies also have cameras to prevent shoplifting, but also have them to keep an eye on their employees, to make sure they do their jobs.

    Can you imagine what his reaction or response would have been?

    That might be too crowded, and i would rather go when there is not so many people there. I am not a fan of big crowds.

    Actually, i have done it three times before. never had anyone approach me or had any indication of any problems. i step out of my car, walk up to vehicle and check the price tag and take a quick look. There is nothing impeding my entry into the car lot. Sometimes, a dealership will park cars in the entrance way to block entry to other vehicles, but i only see that on occasion.

Walking around a car lot at night probably will attract attention from "the man." Being en-femme while walking around a car lot probably will really attract attention and possibly an investigatory stop which could lead to another "I encountered the police while dressed thread.":2c:

    @crossfire

    The cars parked in the driveway are not there to stop cars from driving on to the lot but rather they are parked there to prevent someone from driving off the lot. At the dealership I worked at two cars were parked nose to nose across the main entrance, effectively blocking the driveway. A locking boot, like what some cities place on illegally parked cars, was then placed on a wheel so the cars could not be pushed or driven from the driveway.
