The idiocy going on is the entire system. If someone wants to take a plane down, they can, regardless of the current measures in place. The terrorists won, in that the bazillions of dollars being spent on airline security is doing essentially nothing, and causing all of us a migraine. Too bad the machines that exist that check this well are extremely expensive and/or not commonplace, that would cut down on the no peanut-butter, no play dough idiocy going on.
