    Realistic body image

I sometimes wonder how realistically we see ourselves -- how objectively we can see ourselves -- when we look in the mirror. I know that some people literally see themselves, for example, as fatter or thinner than they really are. Distorted body image. I'm not real happy with my body (obviously) so I'm probably biased in some way. Or maybe I idealize what I see, who knows?

First I Googled "male 5'9" 200lbs", and when the overall results came up, I clicked the Images button at the top. It was... highly instructive. Lot of variety, but it wasn't hard to find "myself".

Then I changed it to female, to see what a woman of my height and weight would actually look like. What is the best I can possibly hope for, results-wise?

Then, knowing that I'd only look like that if my existing body fat was redistributed to hips and breasts, I added 10 pounds for forms and lower padding. All of my padding is silicone, but even if it was foam, the real thing would add at least than much. My C forms alone add 3.5 pounds.

Anyway, it taught me some things about my "two bodies" so I thought I'd bring it up.
