Wow, that's a crazy story but I think it is one that we can all relate to. I remember when I was younger I would be really scared to go into a womans store and buy things for myself.
I doubt that you will have anything on your police record over this, but it is a total bummer that you can't go back into the store again. If I were you, I would probably call the manager and explain the whole thing and be totally honest with him or her. Who knows, they might even let you back in again and since they would know who you are, you might be a little more comfortable buying things there.
The only other alternative would be to find a new store to go shopping at. Just don't make the same mistake again.
