    annual physical

Well, this could be interesting. In a few days, I'll be going for my annual occupational physical. It is at a Occupational Health office, not at work. This will be the first since I shaved my legs. I'll be wearing all guy clothes. Have any of you gotten comments or questions from nurses or doctors? Anyone ever had medical personnel talk about them out of the office?

I doubt they'll say anything. Perhaps you're a swimmer, or triathlete? Catchers/Pitchers report in 20 days, Go Phillies!

If they are at all good at their job, they won't notice it. If they do, they won't say a word, unless they feel it has some bearing on your health.

I have worn panties is a doc did a physical and he was very polite. Remember there pros, If they talked about it after there braking there oath. so don't worry about it. They I am sure they have seen weairder. Good luck. If I were you I would dress fully and check in as Susan. I have done that at the eye doctor, and asked them to call my fem name and they had no prob with that. It was fun to here my fem name called . So go DRESSED, and tell us how it went. HUGGS :canada:

I have always had smooth legs for my yearly physical and my doctor never said anything. She is so sweet and professional. Last year I decided that I wasn't taking off the polish so there I sat smooth from nose to toes and red polish on my toes, She never said anything until I asked her how she liked them. She said they were cute and if there was "anything else I needed to discuss" I am sure intimating if I needed to talk to her about transitioning. I assured her that I was where I wanted to be at this time. Medical professionals see it all.

Like everyone else has said, even if they notice, they should not care. Unless what you wear/do has an effect on your life, they'll not going to say a single thing about it.

Though, the first times, always the hardest. Believe me, each time you do it the easier it will become, before you even notice you'll be fully dressed while going to the doctor.

Been there and done that with absolutely no reaction at all...even when I had just polished my toes and had to go for an impromptu consultation during which he had me remove my shoes and socks....no comment at all...just professionalism.

I've shaved my legs, chest and pits for years now and only once has anyone said anything. It was a nurse and I just told her I felt cleaner without the hair.

I have had taken a two physicals to renew my CDL's in the last few years and have been completely hairless from my eyebrows on down. The doctor that has seen me has never said anything to me about it. I didn't worry about it as far as having the physical done they are only worry about the inside of you and not what the outside looks like.

I think the worst thing that could happen is they ask you why you shave. They're not going to call someone in and say "Hey look at this guy's legs!". I would just say that I like it that way!

Its pretty easy to say that they will not say anything because its none of thier business or they just don't care. But bare legs are a sign for some people that they have poor circulation. It may be a sign of diabetes also. So I wouldn't be so sure that the doctor or nurse will keep thier mouths shut if they believe your health is at risk.

I doubt that any one will say anything about you being shaved.

A few years back. I was in the hospital for a procedure, and the nurse came over to shave the area that they had to use.

I was fully shave then and am still to-day.

Her Comment was, oh, you are shaved, good, I will not have to do it.

Professional ethics too will not allow them to say anything especially derogatory.

I had one Doctor ask if I was a swimmer this was years ago before I started wearing panties and painting my toes. Two years ago another ask if I was transexal but that could have been due to my panties and painted toes.

    Live go on.

I have been shaving from my ears down for some time now. I wish I had started shaving my body sooner. You just can't beat the clean feeling. I was in hospital last week and no one said a thing.

Oh this post is killing me. I have been cursed with a very hairy body. CD's worst nightmare I suppose. I really can't do anything about it, b.c i would need a fully body wax once a week. Jeez wonder what that would cost lol

I go to my doctor(s)not only with shaved legs and wearing panties, but also with painted finger and toe nails. My Endochronologist(Diabetes doctor) always asks me, "what color are your toes today?" I only see him every six months. As has been stated, they are professionals and have seen it all!

Last year I had a physical and I had light color nail polish on my toes. The nurse who did my EKG didn't say anything. The doctor noticed and asked if my daughter painted my toenails because his daughter does it to him. I could have used that excuse but I didn't want to lie because my daughter goes to the same doctor. I just told him that my wife and I were frisky the other night.

I had a female primary for a while, I told the truth. All she had to say was she thought I must be cute. shave waist down for now, thinking about ears down before my date Saturday.

I have shaved my legs for years now. The only time anyone has ever said anything was when I was tailgaiting at the Chicago Bears game. Some girl almost shouts out "you shave your legs". My friend jumped in and said "yea this pretty boy does ironman triathlons" I thought it was funny and asked her why she would even care? She changed the subject.

I wear my drab clothes to my semi-annual physical. The doctor (male) has never said anything but if asked I would just say that my wife likes a smooth body beside her at night. Which is true by-the-way.

You girls are braver than me. I've been going to the same family doctor for over thirty years and consider him a friend. My wife goes to the same doctor. I'd rather not include him in that very personal part of my life. That means regrowing some hair before my annual physical.

    update

Well, I had the physical. As most of you said, no one said anything about my legs. I saw a nurse practioner, and she really seemed friendlier after a point in the exam when she had to notice. I would have felt weirder had it been a man.

When I went for the company physical a couple years ago, the dr asked if I shaved or waxed. When I told him I shaved, he asked why. I just told him it was for body odor control and cleanliness reasons. He replied, good reason, makes sense.

No problems for me , I have been to my doctors for an annual physical , for a colonoscopy in the hospital , physical therapy and to my massage therapist and no one has ever said a word about anything to me , like others have said they have probably seen it all in there jobs and it is no big deal.
If they talk about me when I am not there I really don`t care , that would mean there not talking about someone else , LOL
