Surely, if the overriding concern were to fit in then the answer is simple...dress as everyone expects...in guy clothes. (That applies to our F to M members as well, of course)
Facetious remarks aside, I like dressing "tarty" sometimes. It all depends on the venue, the occasion and my own mood. I think that there is a tendency to polarize into two camps here. One view being that it is all about gender and expression, trying to look like the woman inside feels. The other view is that it is all about sex and fetishism, getting off on wearing sexy outfits. I do get a sexual rush from dressing in a provocative "trampy" way and I also get a sense of fulfillment by presenting as a well dressed female. There's no either/or I enjoy both.
