I agree. there are a bunch of sites that give CDing a bad name. This site is simply wonderful and I am soooo glad I found it and all of you!
As far as dressing "quality" goes, I dress respectable most of the time but trashy will sneak in every now and then 'cos its fun

I've never been attracked to trashy GG's. Professional, classy and all put together is the only way for me.
Why would I want to look like a cheap hooker?
My POV is that it depends on how I feel.
Dressing trampy is fun sometimes, sometimes more classy is how I feel.
Same with attraction to GGs.

Can we get away from "hooker" references? I know we all have our own idea of what looks good and I still don't see why dressing "Up" in a short skirt and heels makes you trashy but honestly the hooker thing doesn't even ring true. I wonder how many here have even seen a real hooker? 90% of them look like destitute women on the street. Another Hollywood myth that really does not need perpetuating.:brolleyes:

Perhaps I should amend that post a bit, especially after reading Lorileah's response . You are right, trashy does not equate with hooker. I do love short skirts, tight tops, high heels and being made up myself.
So I guess I have a trashy side to myself as well. I stand corrected.

I'm just learning to use this site, and I am trying to use the quote function. I have to agree that just the act of wearing a short skirt, and tight top does not make one "trashy". What I wanted to say was my daytime look (if i went out) would be more business or age appropriate. I know all women have a side they present to the world and one that is reserved for elsewhere.

Well see that's what being a woman is so fun, and really annoying. We can dress how we feel, want to be seen as, or for the function we are going to and what we are doing that day. A cd is a horse of a diferent color, while a woman, she is only a 'side' or part of the whole. So, 'dress up' is more the norm than for a ts. But rather than try to point out the silly little diference's lets try and enjoy each other for the sameness we all love and enjoy. I have a picture of me (TS) and a good friend (CD) at a party where we both wore the same dress. And you can't tell who's who just because of the dress now can you? Carol

I see hookers all the time here in Las Vegas, there's quite a difference between the street ho's and the high priced call girls. prostitutes can be trashy or classy with the best of em. The trashy ones are pretty easy to spot standing on the corner or walking down the street with their junk hangin out. From my own personal observations ..it seems to me that the older the prostitute, the more she flaunts her stuff. face it..she getting up there a bit,maybe doesn't have the figure that she used to, and then there's the competition from the younger girls to contend with. Being that there are a lot of prostitutes here, police and hotel security deal with them regularly they sort of have a feel for what to look for. Profiling if you will. ( it may not be right, but it happens) . If a woman meets certain criteria, or draws attention to herself via the way she is dressed, they may not say anything, but you can be sure that the eye in the sky is keeping a close watch on her actions.The girls that dress in a more subtle manner can slip under the radar, the younger girls ... well their younger, who doesn't like to look at at a young girl in a short skirt? Even so, if they are dressed way over the top. they too will rate a second look. maybe "dressed like a hooker" has a different meaning here, but from experience in dealing with prostitutes our police and hotel security kind of have the attitude of..if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck..it's probably a duck. I think that most people have an idea of what they believe to be considered proper when it comes to how people dress when they are out and about,whether it be style of clothing or the dreaded age appropriate. It may not be the same as yours, and if you don't buy into it..more power to you, but it is what it is. If you walk into a casino here wearing Daisey dukes,heels,pantyhose and a halter top, that guy that's following you probably isn't doing so because he thinks your hot! You fit the profile.
I try to be mostly classy, with a touch of soccar mom, a pinch of redneck, and just a hint of class
I dress for me. I enjoy wearing feminine clothes. Sometimes I feel like being a little ****ty and other times I don't. I don't leave the house dressed in a manner to draw attention and create problems so what does it matter how I dress in my house?
I think that the OP was geared for how one dresses outside of the home.

The 2 things that originally got me interested in crossdressing in the 1st place are fishnet stockings, which I wear almost every time I dress and big giant 80's/early 90's hair. I guess I'm just not a classy gal :D To each her own...

No, it's not BS.. if you dress like you are from the farm you aren't going to garner more scrutiny than if you are dressed in a way that that they would describe as "hookerish". Put on any kind of spin that you would like. Even if the eye in the sky did clock a cd or TS..it doesn't matter, they're not looking to keep cders and ts's out of the casinos.. they're trying to keep out HOOKERS. The hookers that are aloud .. are done so in a pre-arranged fashion and are known by security and by the pit bosses. Even those girls are required to dress in a fashion that doesn't scream hooker. Security and the pit bosses don't want unwanted attention payed to these girls by customers or the higher ups.
Remind me to stay the hell away from Vegas!

Don't let that scare you Amanda. As Kelly pointed out, they aren't out to get the CD's. They do watch you more closely but if you aren't there to cause problems you will be fine. Most (and notice I said MOST) casinos will allow you to have fun and be another patron without hassle. The point was that they let hookers in too, just look the other way and as Kelly pointed out that is the "arrangement". Hookers bring men into the casino, often whales, and that means money. And as Kelly pointed out these pro's don't dress like the hookers you see on TV, they are "discrete". But do know, you ain't fooling the experts who get paid to see things, they can tell you are a TG, just like they can spot a hooker even if she isn't wearing a mini and 12" heels.
