"I'm a 3! She's a 12!"
I got VERY angry some years back. After wearing the same brand and size jeans for 30 years, they suddenly fit LOOSE!
After firing off a complaint to the manufacturer, they ASSURED ME, they hadn't changed their jeans at all! Then, I realized that when I got serious about dressing, I permanently lost about 15 pounds from my previous 30+ year weight! I moved down one size, and they fit the same now!![]()

I couldn't imagine a size 3, not even close at size 14 -16. Losing a few pounds would help, but toning up would be more approiate.
For those who are 10 + in size I would not be concerned, as it seems (as someone pointed out) that is the average size today. Me at size 3 is partly because of my skeletal frame where some people would have difficulties even if they could lose enough weight to fit into smaller sizes. Heck even my shoe size is small, size eight which several decades ago was somewhat normal. I have a hard time finding shoes for males mode but generally speaking it is easy with woman’s shoes. Back to sizes, moving from a size 3/5 to a size 9 was hard for me to take but persevered, was not easy trying on smaller sizes and not being able to button them up until one day I could put a smile on my face. Any ways one of the added bonuses for people to drop a size or two besides looking good is it is good for your health which in the end is more important than looking good.

I can never keep straight the misses and juniors sizing. Mostly I buy 11-12 and 13-14. I don't know if they are junior, misses, or womans. But then I get something petitte and take the tag off and put it on my 13-14 woman clothing. Now I can say I am 0-1.
Well I just wished I wore clothes that came in numbered sizes, I wear sizes that come from the back of the alphabet if you know what I mean. But I do have pants in a size 20, 18, and 16 that all fit me the same, depending on the label. And I read the other day it is being done in mens wear as well. mens pants size 38 measures out as something like 42 inches. After all men have vanity too.
And I was SO excited that I can fit into a pair of size 24 girl jeans when I got into this thread too.'sniff' 'sniff'
Thanks a lot.
JK, I could stop eating for an entire year and still not fit into a size 3. I would like to go smaller, of course, but only to be able to find clothes easier and not have to pay so much more for them. Now if you will excuse me, I have a sudden urge to do a few miles (or 100) on the treadmill![]()
I have the data in my closet in guy mode!!!
Back a couple of years ago after I lost a bunch of weight I needed new jeans and I tried some on til I found what fit. It turned out that 32/34 was perfect. I was delighted that I had lost all those inches!!!
Then when my wife hated how the male jeans looked on me I needed to measure my hips to order low-rise jeans (I knew that my waist was not 10 inches smaller than my hips as dictated by the size charts for women!). I got 37.5 for hips but then measured my waist.....35.5!!!
Sure enough, I went back into my closet and pulled out some old jeans that were 32/32 and no way could I begin to button them. We're looking at 3 inches here. The label says 32, but the tape measure says 35!
But, the other topic here...I do have a suit that is really 32 and I'm only 8 pounds away from when I used to (barely) fit into that suit. When I get there my waist cincher will be able to bring me down to a perfect size 8!!! i.e. 28 waist and 38 hips! Can't wait!!!

These days you can go to 2 different stores and see the same thing and the two Items would fit different,Have bought a few things and took them home only to find they were too small, caused more than a few anguished cry's.especially when the size you need is BIGGER

If one is a size three, like 3 and really anything under an 8. Can one get a dress that has room for breasts, butt and hips? Like is there any shape at all in a three or less?
From my experience trying on clothes with Carrie, the size depends on the cost. The dept. store clothing seems to run a little larger than Walmart. I can wear a 20 from jcpenny but a 24 from ross or walmart, etc.
