If I'm presenting as female I use the ladies room. I can't imagine going to the mens room dressed en femme with full makeup and heels. Too much time spent around macho guys I guess, but I wouldn't feel safe. And as Kate says, women are generally more tolerant than men. If they are not, they are more likely to accept a heartfelt apology and let you be on your way without causing a scene.

I couldn't go into the men's room en femme. I like someone mentioned earlier it's like asking for trouble.
I try not to go in public! But when it's a must I have and will use the ladies room! Never had a problem! Hugs!

What I expected to see as a first choice was a unisex single-person restroom, then the women's restroom. I'm a bit surprised no one has mentioned this yet.

If I'm out in public en femme, I use the women's restroom. It doesn't happen that often, but when it has, I go about my business like any other woman and so far at least, I haven't had one solitary problem.
