    Wink Delima...

    Ok, so here it is...
My SO and I are divorcing and I moved into my own apartment yesterday.
I got to sleep last night in my favorite nightie with panties a sleep bra and my forms.
I got up this morning, showered, shaved and got "Dressed" Panties, bra, skirt, top, etc...

My problem is this, I haven't gone grocery shopping yet and have no food in my apartment. Im getting hungry. I don't want to change into my drab clothes to go anywhere and am not even close to going out in public dressed...

OK, I really don't have a delima, I just wanted to share. Thanks for listening.

    Casey

I have been to the store dressed. Just have your list and go. No one will care.

See, Casey? How a negative event can so easily trigger new, positive, and exciting possibilities?

What's that saying? "When a door closes, a window opens?" Sounds like u have a house full of windows opening for u!
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

You don't have a dilemma. You need food. Change your clothes, go out and get what you need, change back. Voila...perceived problem solved.

You apparently have a plentitude of time going forward to figure out the rest.

No delima, there is ALWAYS the drive-thru or order take-out and have it delivered, and then go grocery shopping later...We are ALWAYS hear to listen because we KNOW that sooner or later, we too will need someone to talk to!

If you get hungry enough, eventually you'll eat your clothes. You might want to choose another option.

I'm in the same situation myself. I organize the shopping so that I don't have to do it too often, and that leaves me more girly time.

No. It was a symptom. I have CD'd since I was a teenager off and on. My CDing really came full force just a few years ago as a responce to the other stresses in our relationship.
My SO was totally non supportive and I was able to put it in check for tha past year or so. Now that I don't have to worry about what she thinks, I can just enjoy, hence this thread. I am just glad I put my stuff in storage instead of purging like she wanted. Good thing I have a good therapist.

    order a pizza
who cares what the delivery person thinks
and you can by food tomorrow
or go to a 24 hour store and shop at 2 am

    seriously
    I've been thinking
I do historical reenacting and have gone shopping in everything from 18th century knee pants and buckle shoes to buskin leggings and a breech cloth
nobody said a thing because of my attitude

When I wear my kilt into stores I get a few more stares and comments
    but never anything negative

I really believe that it is all about how you feel about yourself
If you feel you shouldn't be there, other other people will sense it
if you act like you don't think what you are doing is wrong no one else will either
No one else knows why you are dressed,it could be for many reasons only you know the real reason

In the Chicago Land area, there is a company called "Pea Pod"
They deliver grocery's, everything you could get at any grocery store.
    They are avable on line.
The other thing you can do is Under dress; Take off the skirt, and put on some jeans,
Put a drab top over your bra, and go for it. I do and get around just great.

I hate to be rude but it sounds as though you need a swift kick to get over those selfish pink fog ideas you have. Sounds like you need to man up for a bit, get your life together and put the CD thing on the back burner, and put the food on the front burner.

Apparently life is too short to take you seriously.

Kudos to Busker for saying what I was thinking.

Really, your attempt at humor failed to escape the zeroes and ones in digital-land.

You should only get divorced AFTER dinner! Duh!

Here, June will get something out of the fridge for you.
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

Busker, where did all this come from? Casey's little joke actually expresses in encapsulated form a dilemma I'm facing these days. I'm caught between two life-styles.

I need to go shopping. Can't do that en femme. The postman's at the door with a parcel. Can't go down en femme. There's a bit of a problem I need to sort out with the rubbish collectors. Can't do that en femme.

Or, how about this one? A couple of weeks ago all of a sudden I found a pretty large lump under my right arm. I got onto Google and learned what I suspected to be the case: that you do in fact have lymph glands under your arms. They can swell up for various reasons, and the swelling might go away on its own in a few days or it might not. If it doesn't, you need to go see the doctor, and how are you going to explain your shaved underarms to him?

You see, each one of these things on its own is a small thing, but there's lots of them and they add up. Trying to live two lifestyles at once is a right nuisance. At the moment I'm trying to convince myself that it is possible for me to live only one--the one I prefer.

So I can appreciate the point Casey was making. A little joke, but it does express something some of us are living at the moment.

Oh, and do I need to "man up", too? Please--I love my dresses and skirts too much.

    Best wishes, Annabelle

Gee, Casey, I'm not sure whither to congratulate you, on your divorce, or send my sympathy, your welcome to which ever applies here.
Deidre, in my town we do have a grocery store that delivers, so what you ask is really possible.

    It's not Dijorno....It's Delivery.
Give the delivery boy a nice tip if he doesn't react badly and just stay dressed and enjoy yourself.

If you're afraid of not passing, you can remain underdressed with a pair of drab pants or shorts, and shirt, buy the groceries and supplies you need, go back to your apartment, slip back into your pretty clothes and enjoy your freedom.
