I used to call myself 6' because it was easier to explain that I was 5' 11 3/4".

I was waiting around in a doctor's examining room a month-ish ago and decided I would measure myself there, to see how much I had shrunk. I was startled to find that these days I am apparently slightly over 6' -- even though I have posture problems that have left a noticeable curve in my back. Maybe this HRT has me on a growth spurt (That would give me a good excuse for having grown outwards too )

    My father was 6' 4". And I discovered last night that my great-grandfather was 6' 7 1/2" !!

thirty years ago, I was 5' 10". Today, I am 5' 8-1/2", Yes, some of us do shrink as we age. I still wear 4" heels comfortably when I am out and about.

I'm 6'4" and absolutely love heels, although I still need more practice to pull off a 'natural' walk in them.
I do find it hard to find clothing long enough but I'm happy with my height...

If my cousin Jen can wear heels (she's 6'1), I can wear heels too!

Oh, if I had a nickel...
I've been asked that very question ever since I was 14, the year I shot skyward.
    I've two answers.
Standing straight, which actually takes a tiny bit of remembering how these days...I am 6 ft, 1 inch.
BUT...being tall has always put me a bit on the self-conscious. As a stage musician, even more so...
Over time, I learned to stand and walk with a sort of 'slouched swagger', artfully implemented to give the illusion that I was much shorter. Around 5 ft, 8 inches or so.
But it wasn't consistent enough, and that led me to being frequently asked...you guessed it; "How tall are you?"
    LOL
Just a little anecdote I thought I'd share.

Between 6'2" and 6'3" for me, before heels. (I don't go higher than 3-1/2" on the heel, though.) And I'm a plus-size girl on top of that. On the other hand, Cassy told me once that I "radiated petiteness" or something like that. Maybe I'm just a petite girl built to a slightly larger scale. :D

4 ft 22in, it sounds better that way. Ok 5 ft 10 in. But I'm still going to wear heels because its also about how they make you feel. Besides, who's going to argue with a girl standing 6ft 2 in heels?

5'9.5" and shrinking. I'll be an even 5'9" in no time I'm sure.

No fear of heels here, nor any of flats. I am all about equal opportunity.

I'm 6'0" w/o my shoes. I LOVE wearing heels. Almost broke an ankle once on a neighborhood stroll in 5" FMPs. This was in my much younger days when I did stupid stuff like add little padlocks to the ankle straps so I couldn't change my mind about the shoe choice. Keys were at home, of course. Nothing like hobbling home with bloody knee, hugely swollen ankle, torn nylons, staggering like a drunken girl. -- swore that nonsense off!

Heels ara a bit more sensible, now - usually up to 3-1/2", though I'll probably go higher at this year's Keystone.

I've found that if you're properly dressed for the occasion, the added height is not really an issue. It may even get you some second glances (of the good kind).

I am just shy of 5'10". If I stood up right now, it would be four inches more. Love those heels.
