The purpose of crossdressing is to satisfy the urge to crossdress. Men wearing female clothing as a disguise (Tootsie, Doubtfire) isn't crossdressing, as most definitions include, in addition to wearing the clothes, a motive or reason, such as sexual or emotional pleasure.
