Yes, I think most rational people would equate heterosexual with not-transsexual.It seems as if Melanie is mistakenly conflating 'heterosexual' with 'not-transsexual' (or at least 'not identifying female') - which is a surprising belief for anyone who's been here any length of time. I'm heterosexual, identify male and yet I occasionally present as female - at those times and on this board, I prefer to be addressed as 'she' - it would feel strongly incongruous otherwise. Not only that, but it is the accepted form of etiquette here.
I said in my first post, that I felt the poster was testing the limits.Remember, my aim is to test the authenticity of our Equality and Diversity Policy. It's a social issue.
