My name is Kerri and I'm wondering if anyone has had their FFS covered by Kaiser. I am having GRS at Kaiser (covered) and was curious about FFS.

I have insurance with Kaiser, and I was told by a therapist I see that it is not covered.
From what I understand, it is covered with a 1 year plus waiting period. Call and ask them, then you get the answer directly from them. Electrolysis is covered too.
I called kaiser once.... got a vague answer from them . It was call center not even in California. I will try again. I really would like FFS and if it is covered.. that would be awesome.
I know a transwoman who has Kaiser. They are paying for her FFS.
Kerri, If you get 10 posts I can private message (PM) you with the name of the member here in California (Bay Area) who is in the process of scheduling her FFS though Kaiser. Good luck.
I am hoping I can get the surgery done. I have been feeling a little self conscious on my looks lately and I would feel so much better with FFS
Madness that insurance mandates aren’t at a national level.
FFS cost me plenty ... so did electrology.....

Yes it can be covered but has to be approved. You must first get a reference from Trans center psychologist.

I am going to call them today. I had a meeting with the trans multi specialty clinic in Oakland not long ago.
Kaiser in Northern California covers FFS. Kaiser in other places does not, but we do have people at Kaiser in Orange County working on getting it covered.
Carries a spray bottle of "pink fog" around with her in her purse at all times.
I will be having FFS on Dec 12th at Kaiser in Oakland !
