I posted a picture on this site and this happened!

Ten years ago I joined chrossdressers.com and posted a picture of myself as Suzy and then went out for the day.
Plucking up the courage [a lot of courage] I logged on the next day and OMG there were responses! And they were all saying nice things about how I look. That was the first time anyone else had ever seen Suzy.
It was one of those big moments in my life, it got me walking two feet off the ground for the rest of the day.
I don't come here very often now, but I will always have a soft spot for this site and its lovely members.

Hello Suzy, I was wondering what happened to you. I figured you as many here just kinda fade away after a period of time. 10 yrs. is a long time, but goes by so quickly. I am working on my 9th yr and have slowed down my responding to posts here, maybe I'm fading away also. Yes this site is a very encouraging and a confidence builder for going out for the first time. Wonderful to hear from you again.

I've had a similar experience. I have done more lurking than posting over the years. There have been long periods I did not even log in. I still consider this site the most influential to my self understanding, thanks to the wonderful ladies here.
Before I joined, I did not know much about myself, I considered my inclinations wrong and shameful. Not anymore. Today, I am one of many and I have learned so much valuable information that has given me courage and self respect. I still don't go full time but am able to find a compromise that keeps me happy.
I wish this were around when I was a teenager, so glad it is here for the next generation. I do find myself posting more lately. I hope this site will always be here to be welcoming to all us ladies when we need a non commercial, non fetish site to understand ourselves and seek advice or companionship.

It is an amazing place to be sure. Happy Anniversary! Ten years is a long time and no doubt when you look back that far what you see is recognizable but looks so different from now. Exposure to all the variety of people here is very good for us all. I like what Crissy said about it being a kind of family; an extended family composed of people just as weird as I am. Just kidding of course; we are just folks out on the wings of the bell shaped curve - somebody has got to be there. It has undoubtedly been the most beneficial place I have been. Made some friends; lost some friends. That's life. Onward for you, for me, for all.

That's what kept me coming back Jessica. We crossdressers sometimes need to be reminded that we are just normal people with no reason whatsoever to feel there is anything wrong with crossdressing. [I see it as the icing on the cake of life]
How many crossdressers were brainwashed into thinking that we are doing something to be ashamed of only to join this site and have that burden lifted from us.
