I was lucky; I found a large local group of girls to go out and about with. Try Meetup.com.
I also went to one of the biggest (fairly) local T-girl conferences. I could be all girl all day and all night. There were pre-arranged trip to local restaurants and casinos. it's quit confidence building when you walk into a restaurant with 30 other girls.
I also found makeup artists, some professional and some amateur, who would be glad to do a makeover for a fee. My avatar is really after a professional makeover. You can't really tell, but I was wearing a wedding dress for a photoshoot after the makeover.

hello Alexa,
I cannot recommend anywhere in particular that is CD friendly to holiday - but at present we are not allowed to go on holiday in the UK because of the virus.
However this era of social-distancing does does offer us the opportunity to be more adventurous in our dressing when we go for our permitted exercise or even shopping. And if we wear face masks we can be more adventurous with out make up!
my advice about make-up is to go for colours that match your skin tone and don't us too much if you do not want to attract attention to yourself.
Or if you prefer to be extrovert then dress like a drag queen - you will not start a bar room brawl because all the bars are closed!
stay healthy,
luv J

Hi, Alexa. Lots of good advice, so far, but let me add, less is best. I recommend buying a couple of "Beautyblenders" as applicators. For use with your foundation, apply some on the back of your hand and dab the sponge in it, then dab it on your face. A beautyblender sponge can be used for applying other makeup items as well (Except eyeliner .. grin). As you become more adept at the use of the sponge, you can apply more, if you wish (less is best, so not too heavy).

Congratulations! Watch a lot of YouTube makeup tutorials, buy inexpensive makeup to practice with, and find someone to go out with or go to a place where socializing is encouraged. Going out alone gets old fast and it's easy to come across like a creeper, lurking in the corners to avoid drawing attention when in fact that's exactly what you end up doing. Have fun!

Closing this thread as it has become mostly about makeup and does not address the other question of where to go in the UK.
Alexa, please start a thread Clothing, Shopping, and Beauty for more make up tips.
