Derek Bok said if you think education is expensive, try ignorance. As a CD corollary, I know from experience with my wife that if I think hiding is expensive, try coming out. It is clearly evident to me that coming out would vastly more expensive in many ways for the other aspects of my life than hiding. Not being one to repeat big expensive mistakes, I will continue to hide.
