    Anything Is Possible

A little over seven years ago, I was covered in hair, had a pretty good belly, moustache and was internally miserable with myself.

Then the light switch went on after over fifty years of fighting who and what I am.

Now this is what is possible: https://www.kandis-land.com/barb-stitzer-photo-shoots/.

And that girl will be running the Boston Marathon in April.

I know it's never easy, believe me, but never give up!

    Find a way.

In a stroke of fate, this is post no. 2,400 here!

    Hi Kandi,

    Your photos look great!

As a coincidence I decided to wear red nail polish to work this week, about the same shade your nails!

Congrats, Kandi! I hope u win! I hope u win!

When I got serious about Sherry's figure about 15 years ago? I gradually changed my eating and drinking habits. A year+ later, Sherry and I lost that ugly spare tire I'd had for 50 years!

And, as long as I limit my junk food and booze it stays off!

Great photos , Kandi. As a lifelong Massachusetts girl , you should know that Covid may cancel or postpone the marathon as it has since it?s appearance. If it is a go, maybe we can do a Massachusetts chapter meetup. I?m sure plenty of us would like to meet you.

I qualified at The Pro Football Hall of Fame Marathon (Canton, OH) this past May, just by 1:14. I made it for two reasons. One, being elderly, I finally was able to get a qualifying threshold I could meet. And two, COVID kept the number of applicants down. That said, I am honored.

Sadly, I am well aware of that as it could wipe out yet another year of many activities (First Event being the most recent victim). But since I have been accepted, I will be in it whenever it is run. Meanwhile the training grind has begun!

I would love that, but for the race, it is 100% a business trip for me. It won't take too much to meet my goals of a PR (simply walking a few less times) and getting a BQ for the next race.

Thank you all for the very kind words. My purpose in life is simply to make it just a little easier for the girls that follow me, as those before were able to do for me. We have to have each other's backs and by doing so, this gets a little easier for everyone each and every day!

I do so love you in the lighter hair colors. I think it really does something to soften your features, but I really can't put my finger on it

Lovely photos Kandi and well done for the hard work and dedication you've put in over the last seven years to get yourself in shape, good effort.

Oh and good luck with your marathon in April too.
