    Got a date

No not with any romantic overtones.
My BA surgery is now happening on the 19th of May.
It seems that an opening became available due to a cancelation so I said yes.
I would have had to wait about 2 months otherwise.

I was thinking of going to the hospital en femme but as I am not going to be able to wear make up after surgery it seems pointless.
    Your views please.

I think I would go in as a woman. After all you are in process of being one or you already see yourself as one.

Didn’t you just write about having your very first outing? Since you asked for our views, this has got to be one of the most extreme pink fog events ever and, from my perspective, seems ridiculous.

Philipa, I think you should go dressed but just like any other woman headed for surgery.

I have a challenge for you.
Starting today wear breast forms 24/ 7
Every interaction morning noon and night.
I know they’re not gonna feel like your own that’s not the point.
But you will know how going on life interacting with family, neighbor is everyone going on with your life .
Saying things like you will not hug or see certain people to me is not being realistic.
So my challenge to you for your own good is to try this every day 24/7 .

I shall do multiple replies here.
Thank you Angela for your contribution so glad you didn't hold back.
Chrissy. Noted and I may follow through.
SirDonna. You crack me up with your humour.
    Di. Thank you.
From previous posts I have outlined my situation regarding the amount of interaction with others.
I decided (like many others coming out) to do this on my own terms. I have began by telling close friends that I am going to be presenting as Philipa.
To that end I will present Philipa as a fait accompli.
I don't think I have said I wouldn't see people (I will have said I am prepared to loose friends if they don't accept my life change)
I have lived in this house for over 22 years and I am on nodding terms with my neighbours so again not an issue. As for any other interaction I will just be another face in the crowd.
You have all in your own way helped me decide on my next course of action.
    Thank you. Philipa.

Philipa Jane, I envy you and wish you the best. I don't have the nerve to go through this myself, so it is one bucket list item that will remain unfulfilled.

Philipa, I am in the process of having my beard removed by electrolysis. I am 40 hours into the 300 or so hours it will take. I am still presenting as male for every appointment even though the clinicians know I am having it done due to gender dysphoria.

I don't seem to be able to make a solid decision about my own presentation, so I'm not going to presume to give advice to you.

I will simply say good luck to you and I hope things turn out for the best.

Great, too many don't get my dry humour. I figure we might as well enjoy what we can and when we can.

I had another thought, you may not have considered. As Di pointed out it might be good to go the next 2 weeks, with wearing BA 24x7. Well except for shower. I think you have thought of most, but what about a big one? sleeping? With forms, BA's, your posture will change. Only you can say if it's good or not. I think the first 7 days, your response will be "yeah". But what about day 10 to 14? Hopefully it's not, "let me breathe and drop these thingies for a moment". That would be red flag.

Unfortunately with age progression, comes more difficulty sleeping. Try to sleep on that!!!

I'm assuming here. But, I guess I'm the only one that didn't get the announcement that Breast Enlargement operations r called BA's now?

Last time I heard, BA's were naked bottoms against car windows driving by!

Best of luck with your surgery. One of the things that makes me happy being a CD is that I can fit or remove my breasts when I want.

Thank you for the good thoughts.
    SirDonna.
I sleep on a water bed and have done for years so I don't see any problems here.
Most days I get 6 hours in bed and a crafty nap in the arvo about 4.30. Age does that to us.

    docrobbysherry
I saw earlier on in other posts that you queried the BA and I just thought you were having a dig at me.
    Yeah BA is Breast Augmentation.
I didn't clarify this before as you often post quirky humour here.

    Georgina.
I guess I am moving on from being CD.

    April Rose.
It all comes down to timing and what is happening in our lives I guess.
All those hours to get rid of the beard. That is commitment.
I shall sort that out in the near future.

    Philipa, thank u!

I really wasn't sure what u were referring to in the other post. And, only guessed it from this one!

I may have "a dig" once in awhile? But, I'm also an old enuff fool to realize I mite NOT be the only one "not getting it"!
But, the only one who isn't afraid to look the fool!

Thank you for clarifying (BA)?..Wishing u the best and would think u have given it a lot of thought?. Not sure how the process goes about, but think if u were totally unhappy with it after time it would be reversible, but not quite sure..personally, I have never given it any consideration but know trans girls who would want breast?. Giving u much credit for ur courage and determination?

You seem to have it all figured out, so not much to add to what others have already said. Trying with prosthetics 24/24 first like suggested by Di is a good idea since it will bring you closest to the life that awaits you. But I have a sense that until you try the real thing you won't be convinced anyway. Therefore I wish you good luck.

I wish you all the best and Di has a good challenge for you, you do need to practice first.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is a bit confused. Just last month you went out of your house for the first time dressed. Now you are getting Breast Augmentation. Something thay will be very difficult to hide in male mode and near impossible for a few weeks. I dont like to discourage anyone from being themselves and I get that this is a long time thing. But seems you are doing it backwards. He'll I dressed 24 7 for months before coming out and thays now been over a year ago. I dont think I could have done it in the order you are. I would have been mortified to leave my home as a guy with breaststroke. Just my thoughts. I wish you luck and happiness in all you are doing.

You might as well go to the hospital dressed as a woman, because you will be leaving the hospital dressed as one. At least on top.

I don't think I would want to leave the hospital as a guy with boobs.

I have an update on proceedings.
I was not expecting to see the doctor until the 11th but they asked to see me today first thing.
It was to do with choosing the correct implant and going over the procedure's.
The staff also had a part to play with all the paperwork and the payment of funds.
After the discussion and numerous photo's (fully made up today) I left for my next appointment.

The next stop was a specialist bra shop to get measured for a post op support bra.
The ladies were wonderful and I never felt uncomfortable.
Out and about for four hours today. Wow.

As to going to the hospital dressed and made up I am beginning to see that this may not be sensible.
The reason I say this is because the requirement is no make up, no nail polish, no perfume, no jewellery.
I shall have to think about it. I certainly won't look great coming out of there with black eyes and sticky tape on my face.
