I'm not sure about the genetics part, but if it is true, I may be a perfect example. I have a very small family tree on my father's side, but among the bloodline, there are a high percentage of gender variants. My first cousin is Lesbian, or maybe asexual (I assume from my observations, although I have not been told so). I have a first cousin once removed who is an out Lesbian. I went to her wedding to another woman. One of my dad's first cousins was gay, who acted effeminately when I knew him but was not out. Plus me. It's just too many gender variants to be just by chance.
