    new primary care doc

Saw the Panties to the Doctor thread... and wanted to share my good fortune with my new primary care doc.... she's actually my psychiatrist that changed over to doing primary care... :D so when I went to see her for the first time in this capacity, I wasn't concerned AT ALL about wearing panties under my male clothes... since of course I've known her for years and she knows all about me. So the good news is that she can continue to prescribe my mental health meds (nothing too serious) and I have nothing to hide about anything

some girls have all the luck HAHAH

That's great Kelly! And, to piggy back on Maria's jesting comment (I know you meant well, Maria!), please keep rubbing it in We, as a community, feed off of each other and rejoice in our successes.

I'm curious how any doc would know what kind of panties you're wearing?

When I go to my "six months" consultations I only need remove my jacket for blood pressure tests.

You are very fortunate. Kind of like winning the health care lottery.

Even though it is not a significant part of my health care regimen, coming out to my physician about my gender dysphoria has made my medical appointments less stressful.

Have you forgotten the days of the DRE? Or the days of, "Turn your head and cough."? Since I lost my prostate to cancer and my PSA labs are always negligible, I no longer have the DRE performed. I've no idea at what age that normally becomes a thing of the past. I can't recall the last time I was asked to cough.

Live each day as though it's your last 'cause one day you'll be right.
I'm finding the more feminine side of me...and I ❤️ this adventure.

I think that my doctor no longer performs the prostate check. It is my understanding that they only need to do blood work to determine if you have prostate cancer. I haven't had a hernia check in several years either. Maybe they were just messing with us and didn't really need to do that stuff... Who knows?
