Seeing a Group of CD's in Public? Or maybe not? LOL

OK so on a whim last night I stopped in a place to hear some live music. I was just passing by and thought I'd check it out.

    BTW, I was in drab.....

So I go in, and there is a group of five sitting in sort of lounge/sectional in the middle of the room. I immediately was positive they were CD's. So I tried not to stare too much. I wasn't positive, but was trying to figure it out.

They were all older, some with heavy makeup, and at least one wearing a wig. The person with the wig was the one I was most sure about. The hairstyle was a lot like my straight hair, but red. And with heavy makeup. I was just positive.

Finally one of them stood up. She was the one I was least sure about. When she stood up I changed my mind. I was sure she was female.

She ends up walking up to me and we talked for quite a while. Her husband was in the band. We talked about music and stuff for a while. Some of the other women in her group got up and move around a bit. So they weren't CD at all, even though I'd been pretty sure.

I guess my trans-dar needs recalibration! lol

Anyone else have a recent real or imagined CD siting in the wild?

I saw a group in Florence this summer while visiting the statue of David. I couldn?t help but stare and check out how they presented. I was envious. I did make eye contact with one in the tour group and desperately wanted to tell her I wasn?t a creep but just the opposite- someone who wanted to tell them how great they looked and I?d love to spend the day seeing the sights with such a group. Alas, I was with my wife and daughter so a bit of chit chat with strangers would have raised lots of questions.
If you were part of that group in Florence?you looked great and I hope you had a wonderful time in Italy!

I believe I have seen other people I presumed to be trans and CD people at drag shows, but I cannot say that I knew who was or was not, for sure and I did not ask. I have seen a few other people in other settings I thought might be CD, but not conspicuously so.

I'd call that a win for them...I'd be happy if people were unsure of my gender while presenting.

Let me be clear in case I wasn't. Turns out they were all genetic women. Biologically female.

I think maybe stop wondering whether people are CD/trans or not, and concentrate on the music next time?

U r allowed to go up to almost anyone and compliment them on their looks. Then, if the conversation goes well u can talk about other things.

Asking or hinting about trans however is NOT one of those subjects!
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

There have been a couple that worked with me. One I am certain (know) was CD/trans. She no longer works there, but I've seen her since and she's apparently transitioning. The other is a tall girl, probably middle age with some masculine features and build, and hair always the same (indicating a wig). I wondered at times, but she is a GG. I follow my standard rule and regard them as they present themselves.

In my former Boston area location cd/trans not unusual at all, including a waitress in one of my wife?s and mine favorite restaurants.
Now living in a suburban SoCal location for a few months not so much, but finally saw a couple in the last week or so. My usual reaction is to be envious of their confidence to be out.

Exactly! Imagine the stiletto on the other well-manicured foot!

I was in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago and I saw 3 women walk out of one of the hotels we were going into and they were getting into a cab/rideshare. Two of them I was pretty sure were crossdressers/trans but one I was unsure of. My partner thinks all three were.

In any case, I didn't linger or stare. It was just a moment of realization and, honesty, good for them. Natalie never made an appearance on that trip since I was with family but I told my partner I would love to go back and have Natalie show up. At least on Fremont Street at night. Although, as the trip went on, I am not sure I really ever want to go back to Vegas again lol
