    The meaning of your female name

    What is the meaning of your female name?
    Here are 26 examples.

    Hi all, happy New Year

    The name Amy was given to me by my wife, according to her it should mean
    'Spoilt little brat' pretty sure that's not entirely factual.

    I just looked and one of the variations of the name Crissy is Prissy, not sure how that is. Anyway my given name is Chris and when I was young was bullied and they said, Crissy is a sissy over and over. I hated it then but love it now.

    Genifer Teal or Gen Teal sounds like gentle. :-) i did that. Also Gen is very close to my other name. It would be natural for me to respond to it. So it was easy to get used to as a new name, and if I wrote it somewhere, it could be excused as a typo which was more important way back in the day.

    This is an interesting topic and not one I have thought of before. I chose Natalie because my and my partner both thought it was a good sounding name. And it is unique enough that we don't know any other Natalies in real life.

    Per the topic at hand, I looked up the meaning of Natalie and it comes from "natalis" which means Christmas or Birth of the Lord. Which, I will admit, is a bit ironic since I am an atheist. It doesn't bother me at all since I still celebrate Christmas and it is nice to know my name means a time of the year I look forward to for spending time with family.

    Genifer, I really like the origin of your name. It is very clever both for the name itself and how it ties in just enough with your other name

    My name is also one of my initials, it was my wife’s idea to use it when we’re out shopping, so she might say “is there anything Kayy would like?” Or I might say “Kayy is looking for…” or “Kayy would like that.” It works well, I added the extra y on the end as the names Kay and Kaye were already taken on this site.

    It is the name my mother was goi g to call me if I was born with an innie instead of an outtie. Modified with an extra letter to match my birth name. The name Karen embodies qualities of leadership, compassion, and a profound commitment to moral integrity, so they say? Lol.

    My wife and I went out as each other for Halloween with friends 25 years ago. I said what should my name be, and she and her friend though in the spirit of the day I should be "Clairvoyant" I've shortened it to Claire.

    I didn't know the meaning of Claire.

    I love my name.

    I always liked the name Marketa. Also I'm tall and the tallest of my male-self's girl friends (about 6ft) is Marketa, so there's probably some subconscious connection.
    I looked it up now and the origin might be from really ancient Hindi and it means "pearl". I like that.
    My femme last name is Novakova, which in Czech is as common as Smith in English speaking countries and translated literally it means Newman.

    Respectfully disagree. Crossdressing, by definition, is wearing the clothes made for the other gender. If I thought I was actually a girl, permanently or temporarily, I wouldn't be crossdressing in women's clothes but rather I'd be wearing appropriate clothes for my sex. I'm a guy, not a girl, no matter what I'm wearing. I don't need a feminine name, because I'm not a female.

    When I was first thinking about a name, I tried a few different one.
    None of them seemed right to meI decided on Rachel. But that name was not available
    so O chose a different spelling, Raychel. This actually fit better anyways
    My given name is Raymond. Of course shortened to Ray.
    And the the extended part of myself add on the chel and you have Raychel.
    I guess thinking that thru more the fem name for myself add 4 letters to the 3 letter male name
    that makes sense, as I feel like dressing as Raychel more then dressing like Ray. haha
    3/7 ths Ray, 4/7 ths Raychel.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Raychel is a baa-eautiful name for your little ray of sunshine. Rooted in Hebrew, this name is traditionally given to girls and means “ewe” or “female sheep.”
    Picked the name Lydia for my femme self as I needed an identifier for online sites(s). Mulled over several names but chose the one I did because I once had a crush on a gal named Lydia. That never went anywhere, but I imagined myself to present as a crossdresser very similar as to how she presented herself. Corny? Yup.
    Meaning? Beautiful one. Noble one. Seller of purple? Aha, that's it! I worked over 3 decades in the paint and coatings industry!
    Meaning:Power, strength; Exalted one. Bridget is a powerful feminine name of Gaelic origin. A variation on the Irish name Brigid, it calls visions of strong women to mind. You can take inspiration from Brigid, the Celtic goddess of wisdom, or Saint Brigid of Kildare, the patron saint of scholars and poetry.
    I chose it because it was was close to my given name
    When I was to guess my female name it appeared to be apparent that it was Sabine. It seemed to be waiting for me to be discovered as my real female name. It derives from the name of the ancient Italian tribe of Sabines and it's meaning is a woman of Sabines. I have met at least two lovely Sabines in my life that that influenced me much.
    Apparently Charlotte derives from the French Charles, and means free.
    I am certainly free when I am Charlotte.
    My female name is PaulaJeanette Russell and is derived from two high school females. Paula was the name of an upper class cheerleader that I had a crush on as a sophomore. Jeanette was a high school classmate that I dated and let get away. I have since added the last name of Russell which is the last name of an older woman with whom I had my first and only extramarital affair. All three females played a significant role in my life. Therefore, this is how I remember and re-live those precious memories and moments.
    Historically, my feminine name has religious implications. Kris, short for Kristen or Kristina, and feminine for Christopher, means "follower of Christ". That is not why I chose it however. "Chris Burton" was the name my son gave to an imaginary friend he had as a child and it seemed appropriate that I should use it for a similar product of my imagination.
    Mine (Jamie) is just the feminine of my actual name. James comes from the Hebrew verb עקב (aqab), which means ?to follow, to be behind?, ?holder of the heel?, or ?he who closely follows?.
    Please call me Jamie, I always_have crossdressed, I always will, "alwayshave".
