    Retired stay at homw

My wife has agreed to allow me to be the housewife/keeper in the past I dressed in maid uniforms, but she hated that so now she says it's ok if I want to wear something like leggings and a top. I promised to do all the housework including cooking which I love anyway so happy days ahead for Susan

    Sounds like a good compromise.
    Plus more practical.

I love it! Sounds like I need to discuss a new retirement job with my wife. Hopefully leggings and a cute top turn into wearing a cute maid outfit in the future.

Any bit that the SO does allow is a win, Don't push too much
it will only cause resentment from her.
Enjoy what you can and be happy with what time you can have.
my sister's reply when I told her how I prefer to dress

"Everyone has there thing, all that matters is that you are happy, love what you do and who you do it with"

Tell your wife you will dress as a maid to clean anytime she will be away from the home for more than a couple of hours. If she comes home early she may bump into the maid. Calling ahead if she is coming home early will give you time to change back to leggings & ankle top.

    Enjoy your new avocation.

Great communication and outcome. Sounds like there?s going to be a very clean house and delicious meals going forward.

I'd say it is a win-win for both spouses. Retirement can be a bust. I retired before my wife. She worked part time but full days, so I had 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a guarantee of no interruptions as she does not drive to a visual impairment. I dropped her off and picked her up. I could spend the day attired a la June Cleaver, "Leave It To Beaver." It was cooking, baking, laundry, ironing, changing bed linens, vacuuming wearing a dress, hosiery and heels, all the proper undergarments. I got a lot of work done and still had time to eat breakfast and lunch in our secluded back yard. Then, she retired......sad! She did point out I never cleaned the bathrooms!

I may be looking down that barrel in March next year.

    I hope we can compromise.

I?m glad you?re gradually working things out. I?ve been retired for several years. Thanks to an accepting, supportive wife, I dress daily and it?s wonderful. Always underdressed. I enjoy doing the cooking and cleaning. For me, it?s more fun being comfortable.

    Sounds familiar.
I do lots of the chores as well now that we are retired. Today is laundry and it's in the dryer now. Don't know yet what I'll make for dinner.
I always wanted to be the housewife and it's so nice finally living that dream.

My wife and I retired at the same time 7 years ago. Presently I don?t get much time that I can dress. I think she prefers if I don?t get to indulge much, hoping it will all go away. I believe I do far more housework than my wife and at least half the cooking. That with my traditional male roles of home and vehicle maintenance rounds out my tasks. Oh yea, I track and pay most of the bills too.

One would think that my wife would give me some slack as a result and relent on the dressing a bit. I started to wear leggings in the morning around the house and she had a fit. If I could wear those with a nice top, I would be elated. She has seen my rayon tee shirts and called them skanky. Stating I don?t know how you can wear those things. Hers are all cotton mostly.

I?m getting to the age where I think I deserve to wear what I want. I don?t wish to upset her, but I am feeling crushed. Oh, to dress in female clothing to do my chores.

I finished up my last work assignment this morning and am now retired. I’m celebrating by wearing a wine colored dress with a wig and forms.
I want to help with the housework now, and have discussed it with my wife, with no real resolution. My wife hates certain things like cleaning the bathroom. I can do that. She hates dusting. I can do that. She hates going to the grocery store. I love going to the grocery store, but my wife does not love the things I come home with. Sigh.
I don’t know how I’m going to handle this, I’ve been getting up and going to work every day for the last 60 years. But putting on a dress always cheers me up no matter what my mood, so we’ll see.
What do I do on days when I don't crossdress? I have no idea.

I am the housekeeper in our home, although far from retirement it was my wifes idea I give up work and stay at home.
This was her dream after gradually turning me more and more into her ideal wife.

She loves the idea of me being dependent on her and looking after her needs and household duties.
She loves cooking so I don't always do that but anything else she doesn't touch.

She gets a huge thrill from having me dressed and waiting for her and for her a full Maid outfit definitely makes her smile when she wants the house extra clean or just for her amusement.

I can understand why your wife hated the maids uniform. It's the sexualisation, the naughty French mail fantasy. More for the bedroom than living room.

Losing that is a small price to pay for the new freedom you have. Being able to dress as a typical GG and do the things they've associated with for so long, is a huge step forward. Who knows where it may lead over tme. Just go slow.

I retired before my wife did and although she had a work from home job, she had to travel periodically which would give me a few days at a time to enjoy myself. Then, inevitably, she retired and that changed things. My few days every now and then are now a few hours now and then.
